Why is bursting shot in the game?

Genuine question – why is this in the game? It has probably a 5 degree cone that’s maybe 2 yards in front of the hunter and works ~5% of the time. This along with the fact Disengage causes me to leap forward more times than it should (should be zero times) @ 10ms and 250 fps - what gives? Wow Hunter devs asleep at the wheel here?

It can be used in many ways off the top my head

  1. Can be used to stop casts in a pack no matter how big or even stop a player in pvp.

  2. Can be used to knock targets in pvp or pve away if needed to kite.

  3. Can be used to knock players off edges in pvp out of los.

  4. Can be used to knock players/mobs into traps if missed trap or trying to juke .

I’m well aware of the uses, however, it just flat out doesn’t work.

That’s the problem. It doesn’t work the way it should.

Ita in the game because its supose to work. I dont waste talents on it because most of the time it missed anyways and when it did it only gave half a second of repreive because the knock back isnt that far unless you can knock people off soemthing.
