Don’t dead open inside.
I’ve had at least two “free weekend” offers for DF. I didn’t buy it but I used the free time. I definitely know DF exists.
Yeah I get these emails constantly, and about D4, rumble, and other things. Most people who game a lot have a BNET account because they tried overwatch or WoW or something at some point in their lives. Why spend money to advertise on TV when you can just make an advert and directly email it to people who already have a high receptiveness to your content for free. Or do partnerships with twitch streamers which is cheap for blizzard but brings eyes to the game.
You all still watch tv? Why?
Some people see others watching TV and ask why.
Others see people watching TV and ask why not.
Bobby is not spending his yacht money on adds
The fact that I still distinctly remember this ad campaign over 13 years later should be a testament to just how good of an ad campaign this was.

So then you are basically saying two things.
- You are not ready for some football and
- You do not wait all week for Sunday Night.
You are in big trouble with Carrie Underwood for that second point.
You are not prepared

But no I don’t care about sports ball
Even if Blizzard doesn’t advertise, they should make a big deal of the Quel’thalas uplift in Midnight. It could bring back everyone whose ever played a Blood Elf.
WoW is advertised online and on social media. They are mostly targeted ads to those who play MMOs or have visited this website or googled it.
The last MMO I saw who advertised on television was FFXIV with those Tom Holland commercials. That was a couple years ago or so.
We never left.
