Why is blizz silent on this server issue?

Nothing on any of their SM pages, have yet to see a blue post on here…just the generic “yeah there’s a problem” which I’ve seen more times than not as of late on the log in screen.

Wish they’d communicate what’s going on, if they think it’ll be a quick fix, etc. If I know it’ll be hours before I can play, I’d go to bed and try to play early, if it’s being fixed asap, I can find something else…

They aren’t silent. They sent me a personal email, addressed my real life name, and offered me a free month of sub for the inconvenience. They even said that the email isn’t automated and if I had any concerns a personal staff member was ready to assist me.

They posted on the client that they’re “aware of the issue”. Let’s see if they fix it promptly, considering this isn’t the first time it’s happened. Apologists abound trying to be dismissive of customer feedback doesn’t really help them much, either.

As far as the alck of a blue post/CS tweet – they’re probably not working right now because, y’know, it’s like 9 PM.

If it didn’t happen so frequently… you’d be right. This game has been running for many years with the same issue happening much to frequently, however. They can’t afford to pay for more security (or whatever the issue is) with their millions of dollars?

Do you know what I hate as an IT person that deals with fixing problems? While trying to figure out why something is busted, having people constantly on my butt asking me when it’ll be fixed, what is wrong, etc etc. Like step back and let them do their job. If they haven’t gotten specific with us yet, then they are still probably trying to figure it out.

Besides it’s a game. If you feel you can go to bed now, then perhaps that would be best “anyway?”
