Why is Blizz Naming/Shaming in Delves

I… don’t think he was named after hitler.

as much as I find him (well, both of them) distasteful…

Furor is a word that has nothing to do with that evil.

I couldn’t care less if someone sees that i died, but i do think people should be able to opt out, i could definitely see this bothering some people that have performance anxiety issues or something, like they won’t want other people to be able to essentially peek inside their private solo run and laugh at their mistakes.

The worst part of this game is the judgement of other players. Now we can’t escape it even when doing solo content.

Granted, most people won’t care. But this feature serves no purpose other than to advertise a player’s failures. I wonder how many man hours they spend on this “feature”.

Yeah, i totally get it.

As i said, i don’t care personally, but it doesn’t take much to be able to put yourself into the shoes of someone and imagine how this might bother them. Opt out makes sense.

Not true entirely. There is a rare that one can get where you avenge the fallen player and both of you receive a buff/power.

And I quite like the idea of Blizzard advertising left of bell curves who might be getting in over their head as an impromptu heroic saving moment. Like a delver on their last life that the game puts out an emergency bounty for anyone coming up on that delve to zone into and rescue for some bonus rewards or whatever for the savior.

I think you should have an opt out option.

There is no need to include the fallen player’s name.

Furor means public anger.

Fuhrer is German for leader.

Saw my Alt DK as a ghost at the start of Sluice afk on my paladin. I find it amusing

This is true but like I tell some people I’m laughing at you not with you .

Yes Dennis Leary sings my theme song

Im still confused about this “both of you get a buff” thing. Is the assumption that you will only be able to avenge someone who recently died and is still in the delve? How else would they get the buff?

I know neither ghosts or tombstones work that way

I think it’s fun and I hope someone is as entertained reading my tombstone as I was with others.

I think the concept is fine. It’s kinda like Dark Souls when you click on a bloodstain and you can see how someone died. Still, I can understand not wanting this information to be public. It’s an anxiety thing. I get it. Me and anxiety are long time frenemies. A toggle to opt in/out would probably be the ideal solution here. It doesn’t bother me personally, but again, I understand why it might bother some people.

When I saw my priest die and a tombstone pop up. I thought of wow that is a cool glyph.

So now I know blizzard slam dunks you when you die to trash mobs.

I was running the new delve and hit one of the transporters, but when it got to the end, I was just stuck there, and everything else had stopped moving, like my client had disconnected from the server, but without a “you’ve been disconnected” message. To think that now there’s a tombstone there where my character, who was standing there, helpless, got killed is actually a little entertaining to me. “Here lies Airc, who bumped his head. Logged out and back in to find himself dead.”

Yeah, I don’t know wth is up with that. Will they start adding that to raids and mythics?

and nobody is doing that.

Why we can’t have nice things?
They should put an interaction with the tombstone so that the dead player can see who is laughing at him

This feature alone would increase your testosterone by at least 50

Being a little over sensitive, aren’t you?
There’s no shame in dying in Delves anymore, given it’s no longer possible for a Warlock to drown in them!

you’d get random system messages “Player just clicked your tombstone” so you know when to feel bad.
