Like, nobody I know actually enjoys this Diablo shenanigans ever since it was nerfed into the ground and turned into a pointless weekly time sink to get your Soul Ash and just get out. Yet I see Blizzard releasing minor hotfixes for it and having some weekly fixes just for it since like November. Stop trying to make this a thing in an MMO. It really doesn’t fit well, at all.
I think we’d be better off if they fixed the plethora of other messy typos, bugs, glitches, actual class balance, etc. in SL. The last thing I need is more Torghast crap when I can go in on my 180 priest and just faceroll a level 8 without a single death
Although I dislike Torghast because of how long it is and how tedious it is, there are still people doing it and people still need to go into there for Soul Ash.

Whether people like it not, it’s almost mandatory as it is the only way to get a Legendary, so it is a system that won’t go away and can benefit from improvements.
I bet you 1M gold if Torghast runs dropped anima at the end of each run based on the number of souls “liberated” (like 20 souls released gave you 200+ anima or something like that) many, many, many players would find the activity worth doing again.
So yes, there’s nothing wrong with trying to save Torghast. It’s the best thing they could do rather than abandon it actually.
It’s actually this attitude of “I don’t like this system so blizzard should scrap it and make another” that started this whole temporary powers debacle in the first place where we are incapable of allowing a system to grow and evolve across expansion because we want things now.
I agree it doesn’t fit well but I do appreciate them trying something new and different, and I think they can make it work, if they get it right. Its just taking a lot of resources to fix finally that would be better served elsewhere.
tbh it’s a cool design BUT terrible execution. i did it long ago didn’t get far i felt it was way too time consuming per floor and it’s like yo i got other sh&* i want to do to not just spend X amount of time doing this every week.
i didnt make it to any high floors but at low floors im already not having fun. like i said it’s not really the concept but just how it came out that makes it feel bad to me. i did quit SL shortly after launch due to pc breaking and took a break since but coming back now yes i do plan to do higher floors. im not lazy but if i dont like something i dont like it. will i still do it? probably in hopes it will change my mind but if i still hate it and it rewards me nothing at all then yea im not doing it or if i really hate it that badly like i did with islands.
I like it, just very pointless. It serves one purpose and it only has as much replay value until you get your legendary/bragging rights mount from Twisting Corridor.
It has to provide more than that for the risk of potentially having to start over if you fail. It can be anima, can be gear, SOMETHING.
i got my mount from layer 8 a couple days ago… so ill never be going back unless i want soul ash from the other 2 wings… other then that… i have zero reason for torghast or the maw now
I would vibrate with joy if that happened, on the high setting no less. As it stands now I can barely drag myself through the first layer for the 120 ash each week lol.
