I just came back to the game after taking a 2 year break and I’m trying to catch up before SL. I want to level to 120, but I can’t because I don’t have BFA, and it would be stupid to buy it right now just before a new xpac hits.
I don’t mind buying it at a reduced price at this point, but some genius at Blizzard still has the price for BFA at $49.99? Wtf? So stupid.

Doesn’t even matter. Expansioms always invalidate the stuff before them anyway and you get a free boost to just before max level. So just wait till SL.
Because they are hoping to get people to buy it by being negligent with classic and pushing out awful changes no one asked for
Don’t know. Fortunately you don’t need to purchase BfA to play Classic.

It was down to 19.99 over the summer. Keep an eye out for sales, i’m sure it will go back on sale soon.
Well its still the “current content” so there’s that…
Car prices don’t go down when the release date of the new model is announced.
BFA is the latest and greatest expansion Blizzard has ever made, full of all kinds of systems and dynamics so complex that Blizz wants to fully monotize their achievement.
Isn’t BFA going to be free on SL launch?
Umm… They 100000000% do, lol.
“WE"VE GOT THE 2021 MODELS COMING IN AND WE"VE GOT TO CLEAR SPACE SO WE’RE SLAAAAAAASHING PRICES ON 2020 SUBURUS, HYANDAIS AND KIAS ON THE ENTIRE LOOOOOOOOOOOOT.”
Thats like… every car commercial ever my dude.

Isnt that the price of a 120 Boost?
Also a false equivalence. You cannot get full value out of BfA at this point, whereas the car is still new.
I mean, by virtue of the fact that it’s an older model it is… by definition… NOT new. You can still get the same value out of BFA you could get out of it 2 years ago. All the same classes, all the same zones. It just wont be the “latest, greatest” thing for as long as it would have been 2 years ago… Just like with last years model vs this years.
It’s not the same doing old raid tiers in the final patch. The car is exactly as it was. The game isn’t.
Last year’s model isn’t given out for free when this year’s model comes out. BFA will be free when SL releases.
BFA won’t be free. It’ll still have a 15/month subscription attached to it.
Cars don’t have subscription costs.
And yes, BFA will be free. Were comparing BFA costs to SL costs. Not the subscription.
Your car argument holds no water in this comparison.
Actually it is even better, when BFA was first released there was less content in it compared to now, so it is more like buying a premium full package version of the same model, it should only be more expensive.
Because BFA will have a resale value like a car does and because the fully loaded car will be given out for free as soon as next year’s model comes out, right?
