Why is Berserk still on a 3 min CD?

The ability has never been great but now with Convoke being a thing why can’t it just line up with Convoke? Its definitely not good enough to be on a 3 min cd but here we are.

Nah, leave it as 3 minutes. That way you’ve got 2 big offensive cooldowns instead of just 1

Pop Berserk, and fire off Convoke in the last 4 seconds

Moving berserk to two minutes doesn’t reduce the number of offensive cooldowns you have. All it does is make berserk better. Right now even with Tigers Fury up, when you use Berserk you have so much down time and seconds wasted. Putting it at 2 minutes is a very simple way to make the CD feel better. Or they can just buff it in other ways to make it feel like a 3 minute CD.

Making it 2 mins with Convoke, it would be macro’d and tied to convoke. It would essentially just be 1 big cooldown.

Berserk will get better as the expansion goes on and our secondaries flesh out more.

And at that point, it’ll be better to be able to weave, intertwine, overlap, and use separate when wanted/needed

History has only shown that it won’t. I also don’t see the problem of being a burst class.

Uh…this is a new iteration of Berserk, so there’s no previous history to go off of.

And there’s nothing wrong with being a burst class. Don’t need to reduce Berserk to 2 minutes to line up with Convoke to make that happen

The downtime in berserk mixed with the fact that people are holding onto convoke for 40 seconds so they line up again feels bad. I don’t understand keeping a bad CD bad.

You’re wanting to change a specs offensive cool down to match a covenant ability. Bad design/idea.

As the expansion goes on, you’ll get more haste/Crit. That in turn will reduce the amount of abilities needed to cap points inside Berserk window which equates to less pooling energy, and ultimately less down time.

Eye of Fearful Symmetry Leggo helps
Apex Leggo helps
Cats eye Leggo helps
Combination of any of those helps
And time + better gear/stats will help too

There’s been suggestions on what to do/how to make Berserk better. But changing the cool down on it to match a covenant ability is probably the weakest one so far

Nah you right, waiting 40 seconds to line them up is better gameplay. Honestly it has nothing to do with Convoke. Berserk hasn’t felt good for years because blizzard rarely touches feral. At end of expansion it will feel close to what it did in its previous iteration and what it did was also bad. I don’t care what they do to it to make it actually warrant a 3 min cd.

Sounds like it has everything to do with Convoke…seeing as Convoke is the only thing on a timer that would require any “lining up”. You even reference it in your OP

I’m all for the idea of buffing it or making it better. If you’ve got a solid argument for it, I’m all ears. Changing Berserk changes it for all Ferals. So using Convoke as an excuse isn’t a solid argument.

Changing it to 2 minutes is better for all ferals. What are you talking about? Pretend convoke doesn’t exist. Covenants don’t exist. Changing berserk from 3 minutes to 2 minutes is better for all ferals. Or keep it at 3 minutes but make its effect good. Idc which happens. Make it 2.5 min or 1 min or 1.5 min. Doesn’t matter. But the current and past iterations of Berserk are and were bad. Objectively bad.

Changing the cool down doesn’t increase the strength of the ability. It doesn’t change the mechanics. Getting to use it more doesn’t make it better. Your complaint, with convoke being taken away, is the down time inside the berserk window.

Take away the “stealthed” damage, and give us back the halved energy cost and leave the rest unchanged.

That way we get to feel spammy, still getting our combo points from Shred/Finishers, and get an overall small DPS increase.

The purpose of berserk has always been to push out more finishers in a short period. This version also gives a small boost to damage.

Edit: would also allow us to interact with BT easier

Even with MoC it’s not all that high and pooling is still required
