It’s funny Because the only reason the Forsaken were allowed to join the Horde was because the Tauren thought they deserved a chance and hoped to one day cure them of their undeath.
So… ya most of the current problems with the Forsaken are partly the Tauren’s fault.
Well its clear the Jailer was looking for champions to turn into his new Arthas, Baine was just the critical failure of the abductees, where he mistook Baine being a traitor to his own people and faction because of personal feelings for strength and conviction.
Blizzard tried to make him more important and characterize him but they forgot that they actually have to do something with him rather than just being there.
Not gonna lie, the fact that Blizz only leaves his good moments for books or off panel, moments such as schooling Garrosh in dealing with a Quillboar problem that would’ve ended up killing the Warchief is quite sad.
Many of the things the Orcs do, can be done way better by the Tauren. I wonder if the reason they hold back the strongest race they have is for that reason, as it tends to happen in the Alliance.
Maybe not, Lorthemar has has better showings. Seems they just don’t care. Such a waste of one of the best race in the Horde, imo better than most, especially the Horde protagonists.
I know Baine is young, but so is Anduin and he is treated as the savior of the universe or the Sasuke of Naruto, that even the Super Titans supposedly want him.
Baines dad was a gentle giant, but when push came to shove, he basically had Garrosh dead to rights in a 1v1 before the poison kicked in.
Baine himself is pacifist to a stupid level. Exiling his own people for wanting to retaliate for Taurajo, most hilariously - turning a blind eye to his people getting raised as skeletons, but committing treason over some random human.
The guy probably has more Horde deaths on his scorecard than anything else.
It does get a bit frustrating to see how many inattentive people jump on the forum-built bandwagon named ‘The Baine-Hate’. There have been several instances in quest text, short stories and novels that highlight how much he cares for the people of Azeroth…and the citizens of the Horde foremost. Yet, these details are ignored out of a need to step in line with erroneous popular opinion. The only consolation I can take is that the writers stay aware of his strength and compassion, and ignore the cries of the oblivious.
Baine serves a purpose, he’s so pathetic to look at that the Forsworn saw him and said “Yeah… maybe we should just skip Oribos? I don’t wanna have to witness THAT… points at Baine sulking in a corner”
