Why is a crafted set an embellishment

Just curious; wouldn’t it be better if crafted sets like the woven dawn/dusk were treated as item set bonuses instead of competing for space with embellishments? Or have them count as a single embellishment. They seem very under powered and a lot to craft to take both embellishment slots.

These dusk and dawn items have been a complete waste of points on my tailoring tree. Are the spelltreads worth crafting? I know that the actual Dawn and Dusk gear is never asked for in crafting orders. What a flop and waste of a talent tree.

Yes, Spellthreads are worth creating since they’re used by mana-users in raids and other progression content. There’s always a market for them because players consistently upgrade their leg pieces. Guilds generally have policies that dictate if you want to raid, you have your gear properly enchanted or embellished.

Exactly…way too much required for so little in return

I mean, leg enchants are pretty big. Leg Armor/Spellthread is right under weapon enchants on my priority list.

I can’t say too much on the tailor tree, I have a tailor, but I’m not enjoying Mage in 11.1 and I don’t need her for crests anymore so she’s just chilling.

Admittedly I have been terrible about producing consumables on my crafters this season and focus a lot more on crafting orders and gear. I have completely ignored spellthread lol. I will look into making some on my tailor later.

But those dusk and dawn crafted items that I spent dozens of points getting to in the tree are never asked for, it just feel like a wasted talent tree. Spellthread could have been put somewhere else under another tree.

I’ll be honest, I always thought the little stat bonuses were just nice bonuses. I got the Binding of Binding because the effect seemed useful.

…I had no one to bind the ring to. :frowning:

But! More importantly, I didn’t read that the effect in and of itself was an embellishment, and not just a thing. I was thinking it needed more extravagant mats for the extra effect. Instead, I found myself un-embellishing another piece of gear. It was a bit of an awkward mess, and the kind crafter who did the un-embellishment was a bit puzzled by the request.

It got ironed out but you can sure bet I’m never making that mistake twice.
