Why is 20th anniversary event so tough to enjoy?

That and the fact Blizz didn’t even do the thank you mail with something in it. You have to grind out to not even get the rewards. Nothing from winning the events either.

Because it just feels like there is alot of stuff to get and no efficient ways to get the currencies for those items.

Also no old worgen infested shadowfang keep. Soooo stupid.

I guess I am lucky. I don’t really care about the transmogs as much. I just want the pets and mounts. But I see no efficient way to get timewalking badges or the bronze coins so far.

I was hoping to get a few of them, but I don’t think I’ll bother now.

I was excited for the little polar bear and Onyxian whelp since I didn’t play during those, so I spend my bronze on those instead.

And the pet battles not rewarding anything is just disappointing. It could have been a nice opportunity to have to pet battle and win the old anniversary pets or maybe get bronze. Or a pet toy…literally anything over than a minimal amount of gold.

No you can’t. This has already been mathed out.

So glad I decided not to purchase TWW Expansion. I can enjoy the anniversary and get tier 2 sets while enjoying older content and obtaining more xmogs for my Shadow Priest. Demo’d TWW at a friends place and it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Because what was billed as a celebration is a really poorly disguised attempt at forcing engagement by gating everything, rather than just making a fun event where people naturally want to take part.

Honestly, this post just sums it up perfectly. :frowning:

They marketed like dominos was going to give you the best pizza you’ve ever had so you place an order. They show up, you open the box to find out it’s only one slice. Should have read the fine print. And they got the toppings wrong.

Nah, it’s a coupon for one slice, unless you ordered ham, in which case, you get nothing.

Eh, I’m already bored sitting through story time and the other two events. Korrak’s is a total bust because they changed it.

Only reason I’m digging TW is I have some alts that still have the TW Mastery buff from the event in DF, which grants a ton of XP stacked with anniversary and warbands. My lock went two levels in a single dungeon.

I haven’t figured out if the world bosses are worth doing more than once a week. And haven’t done the raid yet, because I hear it’s overtuned. Chromie Codex queue is ridiculously long…

One bright spot is the pet battles at the event hub.

Since that has reports of kicking anyway it probably has most go they skip the DC by…not even trying lol.

I get that. In sl for some reason my DH would DC going to ardenweald everytime I landed at say the heart. So once I was done things there…I just stopped going.

If I wanted to dump client for no reason I could just hit alt f4 once in a while. It save the 2 minutes of flight…to then be dumped out lol.

I mean there are only two reasons to do the chromie codex. One is for the weekly bronze tokens. The other is for the meta achievement.

Other than that it’s not really worth doing otherwise. So I will probably do it again next week after tuesday reset. Or whenever weeklies reset.

Because it’s time gated drip feed nonsense.

Once again Blizzard snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. It’s getting old.

I mean, I am not a huge fan of time gating either. But it gives me a chance to do other stuff in the meantime. I would assume the quests reset every tuesday or whatever.

I dont remember anything being quite this time gated before. Then again I havent quest hubbed or mount farmed in a while now. Since legion really. So much bullcorn to do. All these different currencies and other arbitrary requirements now. And I remember the lock boxes in legion specifically annoyed me. Like I wanted that storm dragon. You needed exalted and you had to get that lockboxe that had a 1 percent chance of dropping it. Like no thanks.

I’d rather be able to get it done now and not have to log in multiple days every week for the next 2.5 months.

No I agree bro. I feel the same exact way. I remember the first quest hub I ever did was in wrath of the lich king. I did all my netherwing dailies. And was done in like a week and a half and had a nice cheap netherwing drake. They have to add so many obstacles in your way now. Other than just the initial rep grinds.

Scaling is broken in timewalking so lfr gets zero fun just have a 50 or lower 1 shot everything.

Raid itself is poorly balanced and overtuned to the point normal ver is 20x stronger than palace normal.
Then the average players themselves have no idea what wowhead or icyveins is.

Then the event hub is just absolutely trash in design. Its for leveling up alts or something…

Yeah I’m waiting till they tune the raid. I’ve seen so many people stuck on the first boss for hours before they disband.
