Why is 20th anniversary event so tough to enjoy?

Got a few friends came back from AFK today (they were afk when season 1 started), because they feel like that they want to celebrate WoW’s anniversary, you know to get some new T2 sets and to try some dungeons and new raid. However, it’s totally not fun to get Bronze Celebration Tokens plus you can only get like 1-2 from a single quest. Ok now they want to try the new raid, turns out it’s way harder than H Nerub ar Palace that most of raid groups couldn’t even beat the first boss. So basically we’re celebrating that WoW has become an E-sport try hard game? Btw BRD looks like a SoD draft raid. What else is fun to play, what else is more relaxed?

Thoughts?

Idk, I jumped into the events, enjoying it more than I expected I would.

I’ve done the world bosses, the mount-off, and storytime thus far.

Probably gonna mess around with an alt while we’ve got the exp boost.

I really want to do some Classic Timewalking, nostalgia calls.

Just jumped on Discord. Immediately hearing complaints that the raid is insanely difficult, even on low difficulty settings. RIP?

Lol, idk if I’ll be able to post at that point.

My sub expires Thursday, but that’s mainly because I’ve finished what I set out to do in TWW, and ended up fairly bored.

This event is a breath of fresh air, but I likely won’t be around for the end of it.

Seeing if I can grind out an armor set in two-ish days before my sub lapses. (Gonna do all the dailies on some alts, bronze is warbound.)

I’ll likely be back for the next major patch, I just feel like TWW came out of the oven a bit undercooked.

Oh. Then i guess you wont be getting a tier 2 armor set. Those take 3 weeks (21 days) of game time to obtain. Sorry

some dailies you cannot use alts to farm the same reward if I understand correctly.

60 coins right? I’ve already got like 20 lol, and the event came out today.

There’s still a ton of quests I haven’t done yet as well.

I can literally do it all on 2 more alts, and have enough for one set.

Also, the sets get cheaper after you buy your first one. Or so I’m told.

and some of the weekly events in war within dont award a token at all , which wowhead says theyd o

It certainly hasn’t been what I expected.

I was on my 613 mage and decided to jump into BRD normal to get to know the raid. Considering my uber casual raid got Nerub 6/8 normal on the first week, I figured a group of people 610+ would clear it.

Instead, wiped on boss, requed, beat first and second boss, wiped 3 times on third boss, and the group disbanded.

Is BRD supposed to be a challenging progression raid?

I honestly thought it would be the fun puggable raid you do on the side, especially with it being capped at 15, but instead it feels harder than the curent progression raid.

I’m kinda hestitant right now to go back in because I see so many groups asking for more people while stuck at the third boss.

just tried, you cannot spam that with your alts.

Right. The initial quests give more.

Get ready to only get just a few each day

The sets are uglier than they were 20 years ago. Why is everyone obsessed with them.

because most the classes are broken and nerfed to the ground

How many of those complaining are super casuals who don’t know mechanics of any fight. People who don’t raid at all.

It’s an anniversary event. Even normal time walking dungeons are hard because of bad players. I’m guessing that is part of it. Just bad gamers.
