Myzrael server has an average of 20 people, Seriously 20 people and you won’t do a merger, or a char transfer for a dead server???
That’s $500+ in transfers that they can still squeeze out of you. They’re waiting on the payday.
I will start over before forking out money to transfer off of a server they are neglecting.
What about server uptime costs
WoW shouldn’t even have an individual server model anymore. They should have swapped to a GW2 style mega-server model years ago. Classic purists would probably have a seizure at the thought though. They don’t even like cross-server grouping.
Then you’ll buy a boost and/or more sub time as well. They’re going to get their money, one way or the other.
It wouldn’t be cross server grouping if there was only 1 mega realm to play on.
anyone else having issues with Updating WOTLK Classic?
You should look up the definition of a masochist.
If you choose to play on such a dead server with only 20’ish people and expect a multibillion dollar company to magically cater to you then I hate to break it, but you might be the one with a problem.
They offered free transfers for months. Sorry you missed the boat.
Then this topic is irrelevant. Why torture yourself?
wonder what black lotus goes for there…
True! Megaserver us up Blizzard!
There are a couple of pve servers (and pvp) they could create into a cluster and still barely be noticed of the population change.
But mega servers are not so great either.
Mega servers are hot garbage. The whole game was balanced around server population caps in 2004. Now we have 10x that on one server, and it leads to retail behaviors.
You’re conflating concurrent server capacity with total realm population. We don’t have 10x concurrent server capacity, and we don’t have 10x total realm population either.
I’m not going to go look up the exact numbers but the NA subscriber count in original WoTLK peaked at around 3 million. There were something like 150 servers in NA. That means that on average, servers had 20,000 active subscribers.
Wrong, and wrong.
Thanks for playing.
You’re clueless:
Not addressing the point, good job.
You believe servers currently have 35,000 concurrent player caps and 200,000 active subscribers on average? You’re clueless.
How many servers do you think there were in NA back in 2008? Do the very basic math once you answer those questions, if you can.
Average =/= typical. Clueless is a good word for you.
Answer my very simple questions and you’ll leave this thread embarrassed. How many servers were there in NA in 2008? How many subscribers?
Then do the basic math, if you’re capable.
You believe that the typical server is far less? Is that what you’re suggesting? Alright, then that means the maximum server populations would have to be significantly higher to complete the average. How many active subscribers do you believe the largest Classic servers hold? 500,000? How many concurrent players? 80,000?
Clueless as can be.
