Why I was wrong

Even if RDF/DF was put in, it still wouldn’t solve the core issue. This is just an option based on how players are playing the classic series. And it is what it is, it’s solved. Since its solved players are expected to play a certain way, the parse way. I mean, heck, remember seeing those vids in classic era for naked Ony runs? Why aren’t players doing that? Because the average wow player, aka parse player, is bad. They cannot function in the game without having the best gear and act like they can’t do anything without it. Let’s also not forget speed running raids for that matter. Gotta clear the raid in 1hr time. Bro, just do the raid on a different day you can actually commit to it if something does go wrong that run.

I’d even go as far back for classic that they should have had that in it as well. Beats having the BS boosting spam. But again, this wouldn’t solve the issues. Path of lesser resistance, exploiting known bugs, dungeons to solo, etc. I can go on and on and on about this, but I’m just going to say this, we will never get that experience again that classic, tbcc, wrath, cata, or w/e expansion that made us enjoy it. It’s gone. And it’s because of how gamers have accepted that it’s ok to play one way and only that way, which is the meta. Anything outside that way of playing is wrong.

I can agree with this. How AV is played to lose is a good indication that players simply don’t deserve to have good quality content and should instead be farmed for cheap MTX

Jesus dude…

No, it was the second.

I would argue TBC was very similar to vanilla

Flying, purchasable mounts, buyable boosts, cross-faction classes, same-faction battlegrounds . . . it’s retail.

Most of that wasn’t in original TBC.

Arguably the worst mistake in WoW history.

? Oh yea the butchered TBCC isn’t the same as TBC.

Ditto to last thing that’s just blizzards greed outside of flying and the removal of old world elite quests TBC was almost a perfect continuation.

Same again. Player made issue brought my greedy blizzard and bad players faction stacking

WOTLK needs a few bug fixes. That’s about it. The game is fine.

That’s irrelevant. TBC was never Classic WoW. The same is true for Wrath. They are both retail progression realms.

Of course it’s irrelevant when you’re wrong.

Point to the Classic TBC server m8.

Except retail has been bad for 5 expansions now.

BFA almost killed wow off.
SL was a ghost town super fast.
DF is going to be the same gameplay so its going to suck as well.

Beta was awful.

I would argue that outside of SL; this is the worst WoW experience I’ve ever played. Vanilla, TBC, BFA, Ascension, and now DF prepatch(with god tier tale t systems) are all vastly superior products to WOTLK. Reminds me why I quit in the original ICC patch. I thought it was RDF; but naw; the games just really bad

I would blame layers for this, if you /who the people are there but all divided across 8 layers because reasons I guess. Can’t have an overcrowded Dal so the entire world gets to be barren.

Oh and to keep 8 layers worth of gold farmers occupied.

Dang man, you really fell off. By the way, if you feel like you absolutely have to play a game to have those friends, they’re not really your friends (I’ve learned that the hard way more than once)

Also, the argument that because the game is bad (in your opinion) the only thing to do is to make it worse, or concede that it is bad by adding RDF to it, is silly and doesn’t suggest that RDF is a good system; a feature like that doesnt fix design flaws in gameplay, it just adds new ones in different areas that help make things overall worse.

If you feel like you have rose tinted glasses on now, just wait until you find out that you have similar glasses on whilst you fall for retail hype. maybe WoW just isn’t for you anymore. That all being said, I’m sorry you were disappointed with the game and became jaded to this degree
