Can I have your gold?
No, give it to me instead, the other guy is level 70 and probably has more of it.
You sound like an alliance in BGs
“OMG yall are terrible!” Of course the person saying this is good.
I find that the more competitive a game is the more toxic the player base is.
Before you quit consider trying a smaller RP server, or RPPvP. It’s a completely different experience. Older people, chill people. Community. You see the same people. Progression isn’t done by neckbeards in a day after it comes out so there’s actually some reasonable competition. I love it. This saved WoW for me.
Are you aware that you just agreed with the OP?
He’s not wrong. This so-called “community” can be pretty terrible.
sir i would like 2 have ur gold pls. i am a poor small man and i only have 2g 2 my name pls sir think of the less fortunate
This seems like a good thread for a witty joke, but I have been notified that the community does not appreciate humor, so I will refrain. I have this great video that explains it all here —> (you know which song I’m talking about
)
That is the main reason I believe why some people want a new fresh-start-from-level-1 server opened with no transfers & no boosting allowed. The toxic and sweaty players are likely to stay where they are with their current characters/server investment & mostly the people trying to escape the game/economy ruining habits of those players are the only ones willing to start over from scratch at lvl 1 just for the “cleaner” MMORPG experience.
a good guild can make huge difference playing this game , try to find one, it takes some effort but it’s worth it
Community is what you make of it. Find a guild with similar goals and mindset and go with it. If you’re a solo BG hero, a small guild of like minded folks can still be healthy.
If you think this forum represents the overall community or some rando basement dwelling streamer, then I don’t know what to say. They aren’t the “community” they’re a toxic subset that lives in their own “La-La” land. They don’t represent “all” of us.
That being said, what specifically did you experience from “the community” OP? Your post is a bit vague and not really constructive or helpful imo.
My guild is great. It’s still an MMO and interacting with others happens all the time. There were jerks back in the day, but the toxicity is much greater, now.
Retail’s community had the same affect on me? TBC had been a treat! What’s your age range if you don’t mind sharing?
I will spend 5 min dancing on a mailbox in your honor sir.
No, it really isn’t.
I remember my wife and I having to play “time the loot” on cobras in SMV because an Alliance fill in not so nice adjective was sniping skins from us while she was trying to as well. From our own kills.
There have always been toxicity, the issue is even then… Blizzard did nothing. The GM told us to find a PVP solution, on a PVE server…
TLDR: People suck, you’re going to run into people that suck. Avoid them and you’ll be happier.
WoW is so toxic, I’m going to play a game with a non toxic environment… League of Legends…
I honestly hate the term “toxic” as it’s far too broad and undefined.
Generally speaking it just means “Actions or Opinions that I personally do not like”
I don’t know if I’d call this forum part of the community. It’s such a small percentage of the game’s population and most threads are jokes. If the forums were ever right about anything, the game would have collapsed during the the original alpha back in vanilla.
Your a retail character go play your fake mmo.
