It isn’t because I don’t like games. That much I know. There are games that I do play instead of this one. There’s the ‘Let’s go build things and then blow stuff up’ game. There’s the ‘Let’s go build things and stop other people from blowing those things up’ game. And of course, ‘Let’s see if we can blow everything up’ game. So basically, a third person shooter, a base builder storyteller, and an RTS. Multiplayer and singleplayer. For the more literal minded amongst you, ‘blow stuff up’ is a euphemism for combat. All the games have that.
What they don’t have is an overwhelming need to teach me that I suck as a person. They are all woefully deficient in the moral education of their players. They have relinquished the burden of teaching the masses, of giving guidance to them in these evil and troubled times. How can these game developers as guardians of virtue just abandon us in this way?
I don’t have an answer for that. But be assured that WOW has not. For WOW a game is as it should be, a Morality Play. A genre that never caught on long enough to actually become a genre. They’ll revive it, give it new life and if there is a god in the heavens it will become the standard by which all other entertainment is measured.
Thank You WOW!
PS: I’m off tomorrow.

I really have no idea why people go on the internet and proudly proclaim they are a terrible person.

Me either. If you see someone doing that let me know.

… I don’t seek games to teach morality. I seek them to entertain me away from my morality dilemmas that plague me in every aspect of daily life. Hence why they are games and not… morality driven extensions of life in a pixel cosmos.

I thought the same way. As that ‘seems’ to be a minority opinion at this time I’m not sure what to really say about that.

I’m loving the headgear. That alone makes this a ‘win’.

Thank you. I get bullied by my friends for it but it’s the whole PvP set (Summoner) so I am a fan!
Quietly, the developers introduced a new race into the game. I have a few, but my female bard is my favorite. It’s been over a few years since I’ve logged into that game not sure how long they keep your account for.

That’s awesome!
I’m honesty it’s just one of many games me and the raiding team are just dipping in post being done. I do still rate WoW higher, just on cooldown from it.
Would love to see your bard someday!
Oh, my bard doesn’t look anything special just a lonely cat girl with a thrown together outfit.

And yet you pay them to NOT play their game?
To be fair, a lot of people do that. I buy a year sub at a time and sometimes don’t play for months. The money’s just not a big deal and I want it to be available if I get the chance to hop back for a bit.
