Why I Didn't Like the Drakka Trailer:

You could have replaced Drakka with any known warrior from World of Warcraft and it would have made just as much sense.

You know who would have been a great warrior to throw there? Broxigar?

Saurfang (okay, he got Mawed, but he can just cleave his way out).

Grom (the original).

King Lane.

Varian Wrynn.

There-in lies the problem. These places are supposed to be about these peoples’ stories as well as the realm in general.

In fact, Broxigar would have been even MORE apt. Did you not see the Legion souls there? In a realm of NEVER-ENDING WAR?!

Do you know how awesome it would have been to have Broxxigar jump out and say, “Thought you killed me? ROUND TWO MOTHA-”

Random Demon: “Shut yo mouth. Rated T for Teen.”

It seems some people do not know who Broxigar is:

The Axe of Cenarius referred to as Brox’s axe is a two-handed, magical wooden axe crafted by Malfurion Stormrage, under the direction of the demigod Cenarius, during the War of the Ancients. It was made specifically for the orc Broxigar, and he described it as being like an extension of his own arm. Created using druidic magic, the axe was enchanted with a piece of Kalimdor’s magic, making it light as a feather and stronger than any mortal-forged axe. It proved to be able to slice through any foe with ease.

Near the end of the war, Broxigar dived into the portal over the Well of Eternity and used the axe to wound Sargeras on Argus. Although not a very deep wound, it would later be the focus of Krasus and his allies’ spellwork, that for a second, tore Sargeras’ attention away from his struggle to keep the portal open… allowing Malfurion and Illidan to close it upon him. Miraculously, the axe survived both the Sundering and Broxigar’s sacrifice, washing up on the shore of Kalimdor where it was found by Rhonin.

Are you talking about the Draka Maldraxxus short?

Yes.

Was almost funny because I was joking about how generic it was and how she could have been replaced with anyone.

Just think how many people had to go back and check to see who it was.

Needed to be a Horde-associated character for faction balance.

They probably wanted a female character for gender balance.

What other candidates are there? Mankrik’s wife?

Broxxigar is Horde-associated. One of the most legendary figures in the Horde. The dude actually whapped Sargeras hard enough to hurt him.

That’s great. Now move on to item 2.

Broxxigar is a beautiful butterfly.

This adhering to “Faction balance” seems like a worthless and asinine restrictions to put on lore.

Tell good stories. I don’t give a crap who it is.

Well, the problem is, that’s easy to say for Alliance players, because the stories are almost entirely about them. However, it’s really not fun having your faction be totally M.I.A. when it comes to the story – just ask any Horde player about Legion.

Tis not really fair to judge it yet just off a short cinematic. Wait till we play through the zone, we’ll get to know her a lot more. Maybe you’ll like her!

I imagine Blizz put a great deal of thought into it and had reasons for choosing Draka that we’ll see play out. There’s lots of past greats out there, they can’t choose everyone. Some characters shouldn’t come back anyways or it lessens the impact of their ending.

Never-ending war for the lady who died protecting her child?

Really?

She should be in Revendreth because she’d feel like she had to atone for all her failures (or at least at peace - she died realizing there were more important things than fighting. Her family, for instance).

Well Revendreth isn’t for atoning for failure. Otherwise Uther would be there too.

Revendreth is for the bad guys with potential to not be bad guys anymore. Their last chance to avoid eternal hell.

Why I like the Draka trailer:

Draka hot

Yeah characters in Revendreth literally have “Sinstones” where their sins are carved. Not “Failurestones”.

Bet they put her in there just for more Thrall story.

He’s gonna steal the kill again :joy:

Draka was a warrior and hunter too. She was born sickly and fought her way up to overcoming it. Her whole life has been a battle of one kind or another. She joined the Horde at first and fought alongside them in the invasion.

And since dying she’s been trained relentlessly by the House of Eyes in Maldraxxus to add rogue skills on top of that. She’s not weak, nor did she commit any crimes worthy of Revendreth.

Eh not a big fan of drakka either, not that shes a bad character but just seems like a wimpy choice given her counterpart is uther, I would have expected Dranosh Saurfang. (Who we have had connections to, saw him rise up in BC, saw him die in wrath, saw him die again in wrath…)

That would be nice. Unfortunately Thrall doesn’t do anything in Shadowlands, at least not in the 9.0 content.

Jaina, on the other hand, is giving us orders as soon as you leave Azeroth, which is rather jarring as a Horde player since she was just trying to kill us until recently.

Damn, I seemed to have missed our big part of Cata, MoP, WoD, and the second half of BfA.

Should play Horde in MoP, you get to follow Anduin around while he gives you orders.
