Great point, but most horde teams have half the group dip after a lost team fight and taking deserter is less punishing than staying if you are trying to just get cconquest.
I’m not saying I have the answer; rather just trying to brainstorm to have a reason for people to finish a battleground without screwing over the whole team.
Until they get rid of sync queue premades epics wont be enjoyable for the average player.
Personally I could care less, epics can be a dumpster fire of a game mode for the rest of the life of wow. They were never fun to me. But cross faction BGs would solve the issue, and is likely the only one that would
I’ve suggested cross faction BGs for a long time. Just to have a basic Red vs Blue without faction getting involved like the Halo 3 days would be pretty neat outside of just rated content.
But then that can get rid of the whole Alliance vs Horde rivalry and the fun associated with that which has driven much of the game since 2004.
At this point, I would just settle for some new PvP maps and modes to keep my interest despite the chronic losing.
My suggestion for Horde is that when a strat is offered to you, do your best to execute it. If it fails, say, ok what do we try next? Most puggies will just resort to complaining at this point. If you do not know where to go or it hasn’t been stated already, ask where reinforcements are needed. Look at the map, see if nodes are defended, see if towers need to be recapped, see if the mines need to be recapped. There are ways for everyone to contribute.
Azralon is a Brazilian server you racist clown, or are they all the same to you. No. Simply noticing which of my teammates show up to competitive content with sub par gear, no intention of contributing, and a language barrier doesn’t make one racist. But I expect no less from a resident forum troll that quite literally lives here.
You also won’t dive into content that isn’t backed by a premade in discord against casuals so excuse me while I laugh at your obviously ironic suggestions that I’m sure you don’t even implement.
The issue I run into with horde is that everyone just rushes in, gets smashed, and leaves. I queue as solo all the time so I rarely get in a coordinated group.
When someone suggests a strat, people will just ignore it and then complain about the loss.
I still see in IoC, half of horde rushes workshop and then just stay there the whole time.
I just hate seeing the chats when no one works together and it just turns into a cesspool of complaints and people playing the blame game.
Those are the very reasons most ppl prefer to play on a premade team, there’s less of that “you’re not my dad, don’t tell me what to do” attitude. I can raid warning Demos to hangar and people will still bring them to the gate to get obliterated. You can bring a horse to water, you can’t make him drink.
Not sure which ones you think became toxic on horde side? The toxicity is pretty much alliance side now especially after the faction changers.
That said, horde pugs have gotten a bit worse than they used to be. If they insist on or continue to play more like alliance pugs they’ll keep losing. But horde pugs still have a generally better chance vs. alliance pugs if they try like they usually do.
