The Alliance have the 7th Legion, which are just a Legion of Alliance veterans and specialist.
I thought the Kor’kron were suppose to be The Hordes “elite” soldiers, so why did they create Honorbound and not just use Kor’kron?

Because the Kor’kron are Orcs? And Sylvanas is not an Orc.
I dunno, weren’t they originally a bunch of Orcs though?
Though, looking at the Wiki, it seems that they’ve diversified to include other races now.
Also I thought the Kor’kron were specifically Garrosh’s shock troops. I haven’t bothered googling so I could be wrong, but I thought they were his people more than the horde’s
I believe they were around before Garrosh was Warchief. They were just a lot more noticeable during MoP.

Ah, looks like we were both right. They were around before hand, but according to Wowpedia: Since most Kor’kron had sided with Garrosh, after the Siege of Ogrimmar the survivors were rounded up and put into prisons.
There you go OP. The Kor’Kron all went to jail for siding with Garrosh.
Because the writers dont view the horde as anything but a tool to further the alliance narrative. They just cobbled together something incredibly generic and lame because they dont care about anything horde side.
I agree. The Honorbound sound like they belong to the Alliance.
The Kor’Kron serve at the warchief’s will. The Horde no longer have a warchief, which is a decision I do not agree with.
Like I said, Vol’jin disbanded the kor’kron when he became warchief.
Thanks to Garrosh the Kor’kron have gotten a bad rep, however, even before him Thrall’s elite guard was called Kor’kron all the way back in Vanilla. It is the term for the elite orcish guard for the warchief.
Yea, someone else pointed it out earlier and i went back and did some research. They did exist from Vanilla to MoP, but then were disbanded (as an organization) after the SoO. Most were sent to prisons, The the wowpedia page does list a few you can see around in new xpacs.
The Kor’kron were kind of like the honor guard / marines of the Orcs. After Garrosh though, I am pretty sure they were disbanded after they basically became his personal enforcers.

They actually were Kor’kron in the alpha. They changed it somewhere along the way.
