Also a bit roguish?? I support the BE customization adding them then I can make my priest have the look or them as their own class tbh.
If they become their own class I want a /funny line along the lines of “I serve the Banshee Queen! … oh I mean the Horde Council starts laughing to self” Then it’ll be ambiguous who I truly serve! Though it can be some faction neutral term too to include Alliance.

I don’t know why it would need to include the alliance.

I would think Dark Rangers could be an option for Blood Elves.

I don’t see why it should be more than a cosmetic thing for blood elves honestly.

Yeah…I have to admit I’m a bit salty about the whole allied race thing that are just cosmetic looking options. Couldn’t believe they did that when I first saw High Mt Tauren.

It’s even more infuriating with Shadowlands adding more customization. A lot of the ARs could have just been customization for the base races.

The only reason I said that was in the case it was an added class… since most classes added and all classes are both factions? I meant it as if Dark Ranger was a class… I’d assume both factions would get them like DH’s. That is why I included Alliance.
Though I I am inclined to hope for, and believe this more so as well Starla
Tldr
Lightforged death knights
Bye
These are what the allied races should have been to begin with. Customization options for existing races. That would justify needing the rep.
When you bring in significantly different looking stuff like the Zandalari, Kul Tirans and Vulpera, that should never be a rep grind to unlock. That should be available to everybody immediately because it might actually attract someone new or someone who hasn’t played in a while. Even goes for stuff like Void Elves and Nightbourne, it basically allows people who like night elven models to play on the Horde and people who like blood elven models to play on the alliance.
Still can’t believe people tried to justify that nonsense with us having to learn why they’re part of the faction when all of the Legion allied races played an immediate and somewhat important role in the storyline of BFA, which is now going to be the starting experience for all new players.

Only reason my dk was not a tauren.
The helms look awful
I just don’t know why the alliance dark rangers would have a line about Sylvanas.
Take it or don’t take it then lol, it was just my suggestion when fezzy brought it up as a class skin, and since I love dark rangers I said I would want it as BE customization OR A class.
Void Elves have a line about the void doing their hair… does the void really do their hair or is it just a /silly or funny what ever the command line is? And some dark rangers are still following Sylvanas including a NE so at the end of the day it was a silly suggestion that came off the back of how I would want Dark Rangers done which would be either as customization or a class not a class skin.

Well, that’s certainly accurate.

It would be like the Army of the Black Moon cosmetic - for Blood Elf hunters only - since Rangers are in fact Hunters the way the class is built in Warcraft and Dark Rangers would absolutely be a Horde-only thing in the way the AotBM is an Alliance Nelf-only vibe. No other class works in WoW for the Ranger aesthetic, so imagine the uproar from every other Blood Elf player (assuming anyone even wants to play with that look) .

Yeah, dark rangers aren’t an alliance thing. Having a quip about being for Sylvanas would also just be a good way to get shot.
For unrelated reasons, I am stocking up on arrows.

To be fair, lots of things aren’t Alliance things and then become Alliance things later and ruin everything. Such as the undead.

I believe the Illidan Solution™ is perfectly appropriate when dealing with that one.

Hey, I never asked for undead. The horde can keep them.

They’re all awful. Alliance dks make no sense either, they should by all rights be a subfaction of the Forsaken.
Why is an undead human Alliance but an undead human with less skin Horde?

Hang on, I think they make sense - or as much as any other non-original race/alliance pairing. Many of the original DKs were Paladins forcibly raised as DKs and now freed of the compulsion that was laid on them when they are freed from Scourge control.
Also, really, from a gameplay perspective giving a hero class to one side and not the other really isn’t workable - it would be like saying all DHs should be Alliance and not Horde.
