We already got high elves, playable ones at that.

Yes, the Blood Elves.

Void Elves are not High Elves.

Aren’t naga also high elves?

No they’re Highborne, totally different.

This pandora’s box of a topic again.

So Blizzard reduced the thread cap greatly. If you necro a thread that greatly exceeds tje new cap, it seems the system will close it automatically and make a new one. Someone necroed an old High Elf thread.

Based thread.
Tearful blue people.
Unable to accept things for what they are and move on.

High Elves are a Nelf descendant. Highborne are noble Blood elves. But this game already has 4 types of elves in it. So instead of asking for MORE elves, they just need to make elf variant customizations in character creation.

No no.

They were Night Elves.

Whatever. They are not needed. We can take every type of elf in the game, make skin options, and call it a day. We don’t need more elves in the game, we just need a way for RP nerds like me to have options.

It would be nice if they overhauled the character creation screen. It used to be the eight core races on a red and blue flag background, and now we have a whole host of circular race buttons. If they add more playable races, it would feel even more bloated. It would not be out of the question to give it a big v.3 update. Plus, Wildhammer Dwarves, Sand Trolls, and Man’ari have not sat well with the community

An overhaul might be nice. Choose race then ancestry with all the customization baked in. Update nameplates to make Darkfallen, Man’ari, and Sand Trolls relevant. Overhauling race selection could at the same time give us more racial customizations all the while feeling less bloated and debate-inducing

It is not whatever.
There is a huge difference.

Knowing the difference is important to initiate discussions.

BINGO. Do it all at the start, have the “race” you want, and then log in to play. We don’t need 40 elven races in the game. In fact, if they ever do race/class/faction unlocks and give us a wide range of customizations, they could have ONE button for each type of race that you customize after you choose.
