I personally don’t believe Blood Elves getting blue eyes has anything to do with the helfer requests and never have. I know some people think it might end the request but that’s because many helfers themselves have been so vehemently against our request for eye color options.

the horde has too many elves. weve been saying for years now, that we’re willing to take some of them off your hands since playable alliance high elves would do that, but then you guys circle the wagons and say, nnnnoooo you cant have our elves. hehe
i think the reason that is is because its currently the only thing that identifies alliance high elves, as alliance high elves. and thats cause eyecolor options were very limited till the eyes and faces were separated for shadowlands
There is no getting around the fact that helfers have claimed to be an organized ‘community’. You’re going to be held to a different standard than just the average WoW player who hold varied opinions.
The devs received death threats…over issues it’s not surprising that WoW players are mocking each other.

I think just an altered model. There were tons of suggestions in the old megathread, and Elune knows their art team is fantastic. It could be done.
I want high elves. Then I’d have them, and my night elves, and the few other races I play and they can bring on the sneks, and fish, and whatever.
I wish the Horde never got Nightborne, such a waste of a race slot for the Horde imo.
Solid arguments. What if though they allowed void elves to switch off their Void look like Alleria can except for when they are in combat similar to Worgen? That should fix everything.
I seen those models in the megathread, they still look too similar to Blood Elves imo. I could barely tell any difference model wise.
Doesn’t seem likely or they would have already added that least in my opinion. Kind of didn’t gel with their vision for the race and I think it’s to avoid them being too similar to Blood Elves.

it was a cool story though. i’m excited to see what their customizations end up being later, when allied races are addressed, though i’ll be watching it from the safety of youtube. they are prime candidates for a faldorei custom. spider elves. wooo. spooky
That’s fair… tbh I wasn’t a fan of many of the allied races since they all seemed like pallet swaps to me. OP’s points are correct to me and Blood Elves are High Elves imo… though to appease people I think it be a nice feature since Alleria can interchange her look. Maybe someday in the future.

I’m making a wildhammer hunter as well, and have a wildhammer shammy who will finally have tattoos.
Honestly I often think this model stuff is the wrong way to go about it.
Races should be added if they make sense. High elves in the alliance has been a thing, Wildhammer have been a thing, Jinyu ect. Just add in what’s been in the factions.
Ogres and Mok’Nathal, hozen, Taunka, Gilgoblins ect for horde.
