Why do the Red Army have swords? Where are their simple but extremely effective medium tanks?

As answered in the clip “We haven’t had any bullets since '57!” I would assume that applies to tank supplies too.
Tank parts aren’t bullets.
It’s a post apocalyptic movie about a buddy holly look alike with a katana going to Vegas to take over after Elvis’s heir has died to take on the title of The King and rule vegas, I think we were probably lucky they had the budget for fake rifles, I mean, pretty sure they didn’t have the budget to record dialogue while filming either.
That guy’s sword is definitely blunt after stabbing it into the ground that that many times.
What, you mean loose gravel and sand aren’t awesome for maintaining an edge on a blade?
