Why High Elves Don't Work: A Primer (Part 1)

San’layn would be cool, too. Honestly there’s only so many Elves that could be made playable. Half Elves and San’layn are established things, at least

its possible some did. not everyone was closed to the idea though as many appreciated talendrion’s modified elf models. just shorten the ears and eyebrows a bit, ya got a totally different model. uses the human torso, slimmed down, different facial features, and so forth. he did a good job, though not exactly what i had in mind.

They’re more or less the last two aren’t they?

I mean you could pretend the drider guys in suramar have a chance I guess. Saytr maybe? Naga?

keepers of the grove. hehe. whats the female counterpart? dryad?

I reckon Naga that have reverted back into night elves after the death of N’zoth and thus the end of their pact with him could be cool.

Hard to say whether they’d want to rejoin the night elves or the two Highborne factions, though.

Personally I’m not a fan of them reverting but heck if blizz went that way I’d still end up with one.

I don’t think I count the children of cenarius as elves. More nature… Creatures separate.

in warcraft reforged lady vashj, i think it was, had a thalassian female face. bit of a surprise, actually

the keepers head and upper torso is night elf though, kinda like a mechagnome’s upper torso is gnome. the dryads, on the other hand, dont look like any other race in the game. well, maybe a bit like female draenei.

What happened to the love thread? Now I can’t throw in my love for Alliance High Elves in that thread :frowning:

You can still play a high elf everyone though! Let me guide you first you click Create new Character then you hover over to the horde section and then you go select blood elf! Congratulations you’re playing a High Elf!

People have been asking to play the High Elves that are within the Alliance. Not the Blood Elves that are on the Horde.

Sorry to say sometimes factions get different things then the other faction who would’ve figured?

The quick version:
Blood elf is a high elf on the horde.
High elf is a high elf on the alliance
We already figured this out some time ago to avoid getting concepts crossed.

I was gonna throw in my daily love though…

Oh well, atleast I got plenty of Ice Cream. I can cry myself to sleep instead :sob:

i’m a high elf. :sunglasses: i dont need to go to horde to play a high elf. so clearly the discussion is not generically, high elf, but specific high elves, and for me, i’d prefer half elves.

You and me both, babes.

That’s just a normal night for me and nothing to do with a thread closure, though.

Where’d we land on Void Elves being high elves again?
I mean they were blood elves so they were by definition high elves but their change sets them apart after they’re voided… Voidified…

They’re not literally the same race separated by politics like the other two, but they’re definitely a flavour thereof.
