High demand. At this point, Herod is a meme as the only true realm there is, all the rest are sub-par compared to the OG. Many months after WoW has run its course, i will not be surprised if Herod is the last realm to die. All the rest will become dead meme realms faster and Herod will have a healthy population. That is why its best to invest on Herod.
Character names.
I tried for Herod first and by luck I was able to get the 2 names that I knew would have been taken in the first minute or so. Checked all other PVP servers after securing them on Herod and the names were already taken.
So for me it makes sense to stay on the most populated server with the names that I really wanted.
lmao that’s just dumb speculation.
You really think all servers will die and only one will remain? wut?
There’s still a market for RP and PVE, not everyone and their mother will PVP (I will)
your argument is so weak.
I think you underestimate the actual expected queue times for Herod. They’ve already said they expect 10k+ which will be in the hours for a wait time. I remember Vanilla having a queue of 700 and waiting for 30 minutes. If that’s the case, would that mean you could theoretically be waiting for like 7 hours?
No, many ppl will wait days after the release to start playing.
I’m just leaving this comment so I can come back and watch the meltdown OP has when he is in queue for over an hour every day.
Most of the succesful private servers are PvP realms. Nobody sticks raound on PVE servers.
Y’all might not even get into queue, weren’t Blizzard saying that some realms have so many toons they wouldn’t even all fit in the queue?
My group’s plan is to power level 60 on a low pop server. We will then farm many, many valuable materials and full BIS with no competition.
At this point, we server transfer to Herod and take over the auction house while corpse camping you, since you’re still level 32 from living that #queuelife.
Will there be such a thing as a “low pop” server? My prediction is that in the beginning every server is going to be brimming with people all wanting to level.
Yeah, I was just messing with these Herod fanatics. All the realms are gonna be solid.
Most likely gonna wait unless friends are locked out. Can just go take a shower, cook, study, or play another game while waiting for the queues.
Herod queue doesn’t bother me because I’m not on Herod?
Now going through the thread to see how many people have already made that joke…
Herod que doesn’t matter to me because … I’ll still be playing on a high pop server that has a significantly lower que and isn’t herod.
I’m guessing he means he’s a professional gamer, which is a very Herod-like way to start off a post.
You really believe they will allow you to transfer to Herod? lol
Same here, i would rather play than wait. See you guys on stalagg
Lmao if the best constitutes where 10 year private server veterans go with people trying to race to 60 on caffeine and street drugs before their body falls asleep or shuts down, then sure, it’s the best
Queue times during MoP launch were 5+ hours with a 7000 player queue.
That’s was on servers without a 3k player cap per layer.
If you arent one of the innitial people to log in to play and arent in the first 500ish of the queue dont expect to play on herod the first day or two.
People are going to nolife these servers pretty hard im betting, and there will not be a lot of people logging out at first.
Just because you are in the queue doesnt mean space will be opening up for you to play. Im guessing spot 2000+ will be a 20+ hour queue at minumum.
