I’ve seen several people claim they have had both PVE and PVP related achievements granted by Blizzard in the past. They provided proof of them performing the necessary requirements to obtain it and they had their achievements given to them. After a 3 day long chain of tickets, I’ve given up on my hopes of getting Stormpike Perfection granted.
I gave proof and was still turned away. I don’t understand why.
I am expecting “CS can’t grant achievements.” but how did these players get theirs granted? What channel of communication was used?
It is exceedingly rare for a GM to be allowed to grant an achievement. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen any proof of that happening in the 15+ years of posting here in CS.
Yes, people ‘claim’ that they’ve had it done. But unless there is a documented bug where the developers have provided GMs with a solution that includes granting the achievement, then it’s simply something that they are hands-off with.
If something was done in the past doesn’t mean they’d do it now. More so when it’s something is bugged. They don’t take proof of something be done - they have internal logs for that. Even then, if they see such, they don’t grant them unless the dev gave them the greenlgiht and tools for it beforehand.
Thanks for the reply. I was hopeful when reading comments such as the ones here on Alterac Blitz: https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=226/the-alterac-blitz#comments
I’m guess they looked into it and found Alterac Blitz to be bugged and decided to do something then and there. This is the 2nd time Stormpike Perfection hasn’t been granted and I’m just frustrated. Thanks for your time.
The comment that I saw was also from 2020. Things have changed quite drastically since then.
GMs granting achievements to individual users can very easily break something for your character when Devs fix the achievement for everyone. There is a very small handful of achievements or quests that GMs can fix because they have been giving explicit directions to from Devs, and those tend to have a support page directing a user to put in a ticket.
