Obviously, AV was programmed by blizzard employees that main horde toons. Severe map imbalance, maybe? lol. Back in the pre-made days at least alliance had a decent win rate. Blizz put an end to that real quick. They seem to prefer a 99% horde win rate. What i would like to know is… what did we do to you to make you hate us so much? Whatever it is, we are sorry! Can you fix the AV map? Maybe move the horde cave back to near RH? Has a blizzard employee ever played on the Alliance side in AV? It’s like they don’t even test their own game! Rant over, sorry!
Are you trolling or are you just finishing your honor grind and are off your meds?
AV is a player problem more than a map problem.
says the Horde player enjoying his 99% win rate. I can’t blame you for defending your scorched earth meta.
The win rate was flipped back when AV was new, as a long time Horde player, Alliance used to curb stomp us most of the time. Weed be farmed at the cave entrance.
The reason for that was the majority of serious raiders were Alliance, thus they had the raid gear that trivialized the PvE aspects of AV.
Is that why almost all of the real hardcore min/max private server guilds all play Alliance?
Clearly it must be because the Alliance are so gimped and disadvantaged because Blizzard hates them right?
It is not blizzards fault that alliance changed their meta from that which earned a higher win rate than horde during vanilla and tbc, to this current meta of putting more effort into blaming everything but themselves than into actually trying.

The Alliance has a bad rep in Classic:
-
They sabotaged their own faction by arranging exclusive premades with “qualified” people only (it was impossible to win AV as a pug alliance, and if premades dodged, the puggers were left in empty ghost-town AVs).
-
After that was patched, again they sabotaged their own faction by making it so their druid can’t summon. Instead of trying to win they were just farming rep. Now that’s patched out too.
-
The same people now refuse to participate in pugs, so Alliance pug quality is lower than Horde pugs (hence why Horde still pug more). This just further divides the Alliance from within, making a great divide between organized premade players and regular folk.
Lol I even bumped a thread that was made in early classic about the complaints about AV. The complaints were about the Alliance map advantages ironically.
Notice how the faction win rate suddenly start getting close to even on AV weekends? It’s definately a player issue
Come on. Thats obviously not the case…
What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Wtf? What he said clearly is true though. Alliance pugs were complaining about mass RCR from premades. Thats why it was removed from the game. Alliance were complaining about starting games with 16 players vs 40 Horde. you can even look on the forums. And thats in conjunction with the Horde complaining too.
They also recently changed the druid rep bug and there were complaints that alliance would just stop queueing. So thats also true
AV Alliance pugs are also lower quality. We have alot of people state that and even from playing on the horde side you notice the lack of gear, and the abundance of lower level/ranked alliaance when its non AV weekend
Alliance premades were banned, because you weren’t supposed to be able to take 20+ people from the same server into the same AV. It was exploiting, plain and simple.
Regardless if that were true or not, it was made 15 years ago.
I mean, they have basically said they design the expansions around the horde and then see where alliance can slot into it afterwards. Blizzard has been blatant that they have a horde bias.
Nothing to really complain about however, horde players need all the help they can get to overcome their inherent disabilities.
How many genocides are they up to now? 3?
TBC was 100% made to favour horde. Im not sure about the others but for TBC at least, the intent was to balance on the factions.
That’s why bloodelves were given to Horde (when lore wise it made more sense for the alliance to have them) AND having OP racials on top of that
AV was programmed in 2004 – 16 years ago.
NOBODY played ANY toons when AV was programmed. It was programmed before WoW launched.
Even after WoW launched, Blizzard employees could not be maining Horde toons in AV…AV did not exist yet!
This post ignores reality, and moves things back and forth between 2020 and 2004, different devs, different players, different everything! Only one this is sure: it is Blizzard’s fault!
In my opinion, bloodelves were added to Horde because Horde had no “humanly pretty” races – not one. And it worked. A HUGE number of new Horde players chose the “pretty” race. After a few years, blood elfs were the largest Horde race in the game.
What’s wrong with that? That is treating the 2 factions equally, not favoring one.
The game comes first. Customers come first. Lore is a distant second…or is made up to fit the game.
Oh no, Im not disagreeing. Just wanted to know more about the other expansions.
IRC WOTLK was alliance favoured because of the OP human racial
This it got to the point where if you did a pug av you would almost always get into groups that have less than 30 ppl when the gates open
