Why hasn't Medivh heard the call of Azeroth?

I mean he isn’t dead, he’s been in hiding a long time.

He’s been pretty much written out of the plot at this point.

If he shows up again, it’ll probably be for cosmic-scale stuff, not because some single planet is yelling at us.

Because he is not on Azeroth. He left to go deal with more Cosmic stuff. He might show up in the world soul saga.

Isn’t he? I remeber seeing him as a ghost haunting new Karazhan (Legion) and Kadghar being all misty over his former mentor being gone and no longer able to retain the title/role of Guardian (which Khadgar refused to take on).

That was more hologram like sindrag…i can’t spell it in df.

Bringing him back would likely be a mistake. His character in wow is effectively a voice message while lore wise hes a walking nuclear bomb in terms of power

Maybe he did and just doesn’t care enough?

Idk but as long as Michael Bell is still working there’s a chance he could show up in the story again in some form.

I could see him showing up in the last titan maybe.

He’s currently playing untangle the threads at the Nazjatar Olde Folks Home

inb4 Medivh is a raid boss in Midnight
Also inb4 Khadgar is a raid boss in Last Titan

(I have no proof of this. Just pure speculation)

He is too powerful for them to actually use in any real way.

He shows up in the Legion megadungeon of Karazhan where he helps us deal with the last boss then leaves to deal with cosmic issues.

I mentioned Karazhan… he seemed like a ghost or echo and I recall Khadgar saying something similar (I don’t think it wasn’t Medihv, it was like an AI message from Kal-El’s dead parents).

Khadhar initially thought it was but realizes it’s actually him upon closer inspection.

He probably has but won’t likely show up til our backs are firmly against the wall!

What Medivh?

It has been a while since I read up on Medivh and I knew that he hadn’t died and stayed dead. But I hadn’t honestly realized that it was the actual Medivh we encountered in Karazhan when Khadgar talked with him near the end-boss of the Mega-dungeon.

So the actual implication is that Medivh flew out into the Twisting Nether meaning that we have absolutely no idea where he is. But it is likely that he didn’t fight against the Burning Legion because he’s off fighting greater threats.

Medivh is a character who is likely to have more aspects of his story retconned simply because he has A LOT of lore that is interconnected and interwoven in several places, so speculating on his motives is probably impossible. But it would certainly be awesome to see him again, probably as a boss though because he’s too powerful to have as an ally and he’s too important to just die randomly without getting to introduce himself to the player. And since Blizzard has shown that they are fine with doing recap cinematics now, it is possible that they’ll recap Medivh’s storyline and then use that as a framing device to describe who he is now as well.

So… likely because he trusts Khadgar to act as a Guardian, as that’s the last thing he said before flying off into the Twisting Nether. Which might imply that he could also come back into the story, depending on what happens in TWW.

If he is in hiding then why assume that he have not heard the whispers?

He set his status to DND and Azeroth felt like being polite since he cajoled everyone into saving it from the Legion way back when.
