Way back at the start of BC when I first created a WoW account I had no friends who played. The reason I joined the alliance was because I had always favored the orcs/horde in the RTS games and wanted to try out the other side.
I was hardcore alliance through wrath, but shifted to just playing both factions in cata onwards.
