Methinks that the only reason why Gnomes exist is to provide something to kill when expansions are near the end of their life cycle. They have a funny death sound, and animation, which gives even more reason to kill them at every chance. In fact, killing Gnomes is so enjoyable, Blizzard made a quest during the Cataclysm expansion with that very purpose in mind, and is one of the best quests in the game.

So, join the cause, and kill a Gnome a day, so the depression stays away.

Demon Hunters are a mistake.
Blood Elves are a mistake.
Blood Elf Demon Hunters are an unpardonable sin.
