Why get rid of Lich King Classic, but add cataclysm Blizzard?

And by WOD or Legion they’ll introduce another progression wave (classic classic) that be going through the entire gauntlet again.

All to culminate and converge into the final Retail WoW (after the world soul Saga) where the game stays in perpetual arcade mode WoW.

It wasn’t received well when it was announced either. The whole room was dead quiet lol. No applause, nothing.

Nobody was asking for cataclysm classic. Idk why they did it

The only good things in it are goblins and Worgen, everything else is meh at best

All you can read is a bar graph going down. You can’t see how blizz marketed it. You can’t see how the story of wow culminated to that point. You can’t see anything else because you are blinded by nostalgia lol.

Bar graph go down

If you were so right, then wrath classic would have been more popular and STAYED popular.

See if your post would have been more amicable from the start, we could have discussed likes and dislikes of both xD

I don’t think they ever really left.

WoD pvp was on another level, even I, a PVE’er was doing arenas and Ashran as a SPriest

Because they aren’t going to skip expansions, it would require way too much rework to develop a straight path from WOTLK to MoP.

Haha saaaaaame here. I have yet to get the armor, mostly because of how horrendous the stat squish feels in those.

I have to agree. WoD pvp was insane. The only pvp I liked more was legion, but that was because legions wpvp was wild.

This is objectively false because of what they DID to Wrath Classic.

I suspect the whole MoP remix is Blizzards way to test the waters and see if MoP classic is even worth doing.

I’m guessing classic will be pretty dead by the end of cataclysm, and they’ll be hesitant to do mists

What did they do aside from the token?

If they weren’t going to do mysts I don’t think they would have bothered with cata

People are reading into remix too much, that’s being done by a totally different team.

Meh, we’ll see.

Between Plunderstorm and MoP remix I’m starting to think Blizz is just throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks.

Desperate to hold subs in the retail down season I imagine

Those were both made by the goblin workshop, a team that is focused on experimental gameplay.

It’s literally their job to throw things at the wall to see what sticks.

They aren’t working on classic.

I was shocked when they announced Cata at Blizzcon. Like who asked for Classic Cata?

At the very least, not keeping a Wrath server or two is a mistake.

If it was as perfect as people say, they would have kept it around. Expac was overrated new, and still is overrated the second time.

I would have, if they gave a choice to stay or proceed. The old world, still intact, with no flying was kinda the point of Classic, for me anyway.

ah yes, sitting wotlk with no updates or anything ever again would be 10/10 fun

it progressed just like classic vanilla + classic tbc and classic wotlk

not sure why this is surprising

As something to do during the retail lulls, youbetcha. But the exact same map as retail, not so much. Guess I’ll just be unsubscribing during those lulls now.

This drives me crazy this morning.

The literal progression of time demands either cataclysm classic or the cessation of classics progression all together. It was either Cata classic or no mop and legion classic which have a lot of profit potential.

If they decide to do legion classic, there will be a WoD classic and everybody is going to be like “nobody asked for this!”
