I have yet to understand the cost of the battle rez being so high for Frost and if memory serves me correctly, this wasn’t so high during Legion, so they managed to screw up even with the battle rez (alongside the talent rows for Frost).

it cost nothing in legion. They just changed it, dont know the reason why.

It’s to put “some thought into every decision you make” same as the reasoning for GCE changes… when really the only thing that changes is now instead of brezzing my friend, I say “f*ck one sec let me obliterate one more time” and then brez him

Thought so but wasn’t 100% sure.
If so, why not make it the same cost as Blood’s battle rez of 10 RP? You still need to waste time and resource to get someone up.
Not to mention basically everything in Frost is on the GCD which imo is really messed up.

Blood’s battle ress is in fact also 30 RP.
Interesting how it really doesn’t feel like it, that’s why I didn’t even know the exact cost.
30 RP for DPS is a way heavier cost than for Blood, since you don’t use your spender as often as a tank.
For Frost you lose a cast of Frost Strike or almost 2 seconds of BoS.
I really think it should be lowered, to 15 or even 10 RP.
I just think it should cost a rune, simple as that.
I dont understand why Blood’s ranged attack cost a rune but heroic throw on my warrior cost nothing but a GCD.

If ours gets put on the gcd it will make the druids very happy.
I would also love that, but it’s unlikely to say the least unfortunately.
Because it was a stupid decision on their part, our instant free brez was the only thing that made raids somewhat want at least one of us. now Druid has a better brez, along with a better everything else. Because balance.

Keep in mind, Raise Ally is the only instant cast battle rez. And its 30 runic power for all three specs, not just frost. Both druids rebirth and warlocks soul stone are casted. The only way this can be instant is if warlocks stone a target before the fight and they die, being able to rez right away. 30 runic power is a small price to pay for getting a tank, healer, or good dps back up. So what if it costs you a bit of damage? Clearing the content is more important than your damage.
It’s not about “a bit of damage”, it’s about how clunky it is to use it now.
It costs 5 more RP than the main RP spender we have (Frost Strike), it’s almost 33% of our entire secondary resource bar (for Frost at least).
If it was either 10-15 or a rune, it wouldn’t be as horrible as 30 RP.
You mentioned Druids and Warlocks, but there’s a key difference, theirs is always available, so long as it’s not on cooldown, that’s not the case for the DK battle rez with the cost change.
I lost count how many times I tried to rez someone mid fight only to realize I didn’t have the RP for it, because I had just dumped it all to get my runes back.
The other 2 versions of battle rez are still way more versatile than the DK version.

Brez had a reagent cost in Wrath
They then decided to change it to a actual bres and give it a cost in Cata
Than they decided Brez cost nothing in MoP
They then decided it needed a cost in WoD
Upon further review they decided to remove the cost in Legion
Upon further further review they decided to add a cost in BFA
This is what happens when people working on game 1 jump to game 2 and 3 and either dont care to leave development notes to the incomming team or they incomming team doesnt read them.
If history is any indicator the cost will be removed next expac… and than added the following expac after that

I’m not against a cost per say, so long as it isn’t RP, costing RP just makes it unnecessarily clunky to use.
