Also because the same character can play every class. If I could tank on my alt while still getting crests/drops to use on my main, I’d definitely do it. In FF14 you can do content on any class, then turn in tokens on the one you want to gear, which leads to a lot more opportunistic people willing to fill that just isn’t available to the 3dps spec classes.
