We have the technology. We could easily make CM rewards available for people clearing all 10s in WoD mythic +/ Mop respectively.
Mage tower is roughly on par with what it was in legion ( We can debate what patch but it isn’t easier then the last season of legion).
Why not readd these rewards now that a challenge is out similar to the original one?
But if they do that how will blizzard put them in the store in a few years for 60$ a class?

I wish they’d bring all that stuff back. I don’t care about the paper thin and insecure excuses people come with as to why they shouldn’t return.
We can’t, I think is the answer. Though I am unsure, and probably wrong or right at the same time. 
Only Blizzard knows why, but we players can certainly speculate about it. That they don’t despite there being reasonable ways to reissue them suggests that there’s a distinction to this type of reward that they don’t want to diminish. That was most apparent when the Mage Tower did return, but now offers different rewards from what players were able to get in Legion.
It seems unlikely to me that these rewards will ever be made available again, and that even if their original acquisition methods are reintroduced, the rewards will be recolors or totally different instead. They’ve even done this with stuff that wasn’t really ‘challenging’ to acquire, like when Naxx was converted into a WotLK raid and when Zul’Gurub and Zul’Aman were reworked into heroic dungeons in Cata.
On the flip side, they brought back the limited time horrific visions title which was tied to 5 mask runs, while making that substantially easier. The reality is that there’s no consistency in the least for how they handle removed rewards.

I would argue 8 mask is harder then 5. Not in a good way mind you multitude was never tested and bug stun was the hardest part…
They did, but that’s seemingly the only time they’ve ever done so. Since it’s recent it could signal a potential change in philosophy, but it’s still the single exception to the rule they’ve seemingly followed so far.
The Faceless One comes from exactly 5 mask runs still, there’s a new title for 8. You can replace Daredevil with Nemesis and Long Night with Vengeance and just cruise through without timer pressure or pressure on boss mechanics.
In Challenge Modes you were gear-capped and couldn’t muscle through by outgearing them like M+.
For Mage Tower, they’d probably have to remake them entirely to fit the same level of challenge since the fights were designed (roughly) with old class design ideas and classes changed a bit since then.
Players can buy black proto drakes and zulian tigers on the BMAH. I don’t think it matters anymore. Let players have the rewards to show off for a few years to gain some prestige, and then we can re-add the content. Idc lol Game has evolved in a weird direction.
As well, I have the MoP Pally set paired with my Legion Mage tower artifact. I rarely wear it anymore because it’s old news, you know? Is what it is.
I like the prestige and rarity, but it doesn’t need to be gatekept forever. If anything, just re-color the items so the OG players can have the originals and new players can have the same models but different colors.
Not true. I sold carries. You could stack gem gear and get something absurd in mop like… 18-24 gem slots and outgear CM rather easily.
Because the challenge isn’t the same. That’s why they should just make new rewards.

You are not entitled to any limited time rewards you failed to acquire.

I have those rewards though. I don’t get why time limited rewards with replicate able difficulty are a good thing.
I actually have every single mage tower artifact skin because I couldn’t raid in legion due to scheduling conflicts.
As the proud owner of the strom’kar mage tower skin, 100% agree people should be able to obtain those again
