Why don't water spells just put out fire spells?

Mages. how’s come water spells cast by other classes dont’ just put out fire mages fire spells as the mages are casting the fire spells

Back in classic you couldn’t use fire spell son fire elementals as it did no damage and had to use frost spells. Good times.

Leidenfrost effect. High enough temperatures will cause explosions too.

Frostfire has been renamed “Steam”

Imagine a frost mage just 1 shotting a feral using the fire cat skin just because “it’s on fire and water puts out fire”.
