So, you want them to spend development time figuring out what a free-to-play World of Warcraft looks like, just so they can eventually go back to a subscription based model after everyone is used to F2P?

Define "glaring issues". I've seen people complain about spelling and grammar errors. Would THAT qualify?

People leave for any number of reasons. Those who leave because of what they perceive as "quality" issues would NOT come back for F2P. They would come back if the issues were "fixed" to their satisfaction.

No. Some people are leaving because they feel that the game is not worth the sub price. Others are leaving because they feel like the game is broken. (Those people would not play even for free.) Others are quite enjoying themselves and have no problem paying the sub fee.
