Why don't my ponies fly?

I’ve had my Felsteed nearly 20 years, and my Dreadsteed a little less.

So many horses fly, why can’t my trusty old buds? I had hoped this would be fixed with the new expansion, but alas, my horses are still grounded.
Yes I have the Netherlord mounts and they fly fine.

It just seems a simple thing to do, to let my felsteed and dreadsteed fly. I don’t really understand why they don’t. I suppose paladin horses should fly too, idk, I don’t care about them. I just want to be able to explore with my little demon ponies.

Bigger question is why doesn’t the Netherstead have wings of colored fire.

The legion version does tho. All three of em. And they look glorious.

I don’t want the Felsteed, Dreadsteed, and paladin Warhorse and Charger mounts to fly. They’re ground mounts and should remain as such.

Nothin’s stopping you from just sitting on the ground if you don’t want to fly.

When I’m on a skyriding mount- even while on the ground- my action bar changes to the skyriding bar. This prevents me from quickly starting up a spellcast unless I dismount or use action bar add-ons.

All mounts should be able to fly, period, imo. It’s a world full of magic and wacky technology. Absolutely zero reason why we can’t have the literally hundreds of otherwise useless ground mounts be able to fly. Including the fel ponies

Pro-tip, put your favourite opening spells on your Skyriding bar. That fixes that issue for you

Yeah, considering I have two fish mounts that fly but aren’t underwater mounts, there’s no actual “logic” or “rationale”, and that leaves no real reason for any mounts to be limited to ground at this point.

It honestly bums me out a little when I get a cool mount and it’s ground-limited. But having the horses that took a lot of work at the time to achieve basically relegated to the dusty mount cabinet is a buncha nonsense.
