Why not???
Because they’re cats, they don’t have opposable thumbs
My raid was just wondering that tonight when a bunch of daggers dropped and they couldn’t roll on them.
I personally wish they could only use some sort of fist weapon and that’s the reason they get paws and claws when they transform, but that’s me and my aesthetics crying out.
I remember they could back in legion. But today I was learning feral druid I was in shuffle, and someone was like “your weapon is for balance and restro” “im like ohh okay” and i almost left to buy daggers and when the game was over i realized i couldn’t equip two daggers when i bought them
Feral druids have never really used daggers because druids can’t dual wield. The legion artifacts were a weird exception. Still are. They are effectively a one handed weapon that acts as two. This is still the case in that you can transmog your pair of artifact daggers over say, a staff.
It does seem like it would have made life all round easier if they’d just made the change back them to let them dual wield. Or hell, make it so offhand items also grant agility! I’d actually really like that. Mix up the transmog a bit. There’s so many cool daggers and maces I just never get to use on my druid.
Druids can’t dual wield weapons and no off hands have agility. This means if a druid were to use a dagger, they would have far fewer stats than if they used a 2H with no way to make up that difference via an off hand.
This right here is one of their dumbest design decisions for the class. Feral should be able to dual wield. Never understood why they never let them.
Cats don’t wield daggers like that.
They just replace their two biggest teeth with them. Or at least that’s what they did for the Legion artifact.
monks can wear 2 swords and still fight with punch, why not feral?
In legion they shoved the daggers in their mouths
Bear and Cat are shapeshift. it makes 0 sense that Druids wouldnt have any idea how to use a pointy short object but can use it just fine if they attached it to the end of a long stick.
the only reason is because the devs didnt want to have two classes rolling need on agil daggers
and given the shapeshift nature, Druids should have had duel weld Fist weapons as the primary weapon because they attach to the paws. like the Legion skins/ incarn.
the fact that a pointy stick does anything for the attack makes little sense outside of the mechanical balance and progression systems in the game.
point is, the weapon doesnt matter, just the stats, and that means there is no good reason for Druids not to be able to duel wield.
A friend of mine had a cat with what might as well have been opposable thumbs.
