I’ve heard some of comments about human Paladin coming from the horde side mainly and I can’t figure it out, it’s the ultimate warrior for good and the classic Paladin, it also happens to be my first main. So why the hate ?
is it jealousy or simply the fear a human Paladin strikes in the heard of say a pin thin be pally or a cow pally (lol)
Because we’re the best class-race combo.
Jealousy is an ugly thing. Are you ugly? You don’t look like a Gnome or a Goblin, so I wouldn’t think so.

A player that is very involved with the Alliance fantasy is most likely to be a Human and the class that is most thematically Alliance is Paladin. On top of that, Human Paladins are the most opposite theme to the Forsaken, which are the most controversial entity on the Horde.
Human Paladins, one of the most common class/race combinations, would come here and essentially trash talk the Horde in character, leading to some serious antagonism.
The funniest part is that BFA has basically justified their enmity. It’s a good time to be a Human Paladin.
Maybe soon we’ll get Undead Paladins on the Alliance through Calia. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

Yeah but why not also hate human priests?i got a gilded human priest alt and he doesn’t get any of said hate, except maybe disc hate hehe
I don’t think it’s hate for the class/race itself, more like some players make them look bad and we all know how some ppl like to generalize things here.

I don’t hate them but I’m not a fan. I guess two reasons. First, there’s just so dang many of them. Second, it’s a fantasy game and you’re going human? Live a little. Bonus, the whole holier than thou biz just feels worse coming from a humans, with their grand, big cities and people starving in Westfall.

Priests are more neutral. Paladins are all about vengeance and justice and all that jazz. Look at Arthas. Human Paladin that embodies everything that people love about them.
Because they are boring. Specifically human male retribution pallies. Our boring pansy faction leader is a priest yet they dress him up like a pally too.

There was a thread during the last few days of the old forums about which race/class tended to be the most jerkish to friend and foe alike. Overwhelmingly the answer for most was Human Paladin.
Take from that what you will.

This sentiment is one of the more hilarious things I read.
All the factions and races in this game act like humans, and are based on humans, and look like humans (except the beast races). Having blue skin and long ears doesn’t make them any less human.
People who pick human don’t care about having to inject phenotype differences for the sake of them. They just want to reimagine being a human, and last I checked humans IRL don’t do magic.

Because we are strong and proud defenders of the light and justice. It’s pretty obious the other races envy us, but we forgive them. Yup, that’s how awesome we are.

i dont hate them but i think the human model is goofy looking even by WoW standards. something about them honestly makes me uncomfortable

i think they look like an unholy marriage between an orc and a dwarf squashed into vaguely human proportions and yeah it makes me super uncomfortable
none of the races are great by modern standards, but humans take the cake for looking absolutely ridiculous imho
ive never met someone who plays a human pally that wasn’t absolutely insufferable to be in a group/vent/TS/disc with
when i became horde this became applicable to blood elves
