A) Define role play.
B) We breeze through content so quickly nowadays, especially if you’re catching up an an alt, that RP is tricky.
C) RP requires consent - it’s difficult to know what level of interaction people are looking for.

I only RP at the end of expansions when there is a content drought, other than that I can’t really be bothered. I don’t really enjoy wyrmst community or MG’s.
Because i’m not on a RP realm and i don’t wanna leave my characters behind. If it wasn’t for this, i probably would RP. I got into one on accident once and it was a lot of fun lol.

Because my mood changes too much to maintain consistent themes and tones and backstories with my characters

I’m too dumb to RP well, but I have a few characters on RP servers.
I do, but not on WoW much anymore. Will probably change eventually.
Lots of D&D in the meantime.

Too much dedication. A lot of lore breaking whether intentional or not. I’d rather write a backstory to my character and use the game and quests itself to roleplay in my head. No interference that way. And also no need to roll on a different server.

No need to RP.
I have a Goblin mindset in RL and I exclusively play Goblins.
The only difference between me in RL and my Goblin Rogue is my Goblin Rogue is a paid killer.
I used to, and I still play on a RP server, and sometimes I might walk up to an NPC I have respect or reverence for and /salute or /kneel, as I prefer to feel like just a person and not the godlike champion of all Azeroth.
But I stopped RPing because I’ve just never been able to recreate the “good old days” back when I was really into it and invested. Now whenever I try things fall short, there’s drama and backstabbing and it’s just lost it’s fun for me.
But I still RP IRL, as I GM for my local D&D group. We’re actually starting a new campaign this month, so I’ve put all my RP energy into running that.

nice, I also did some D&D growing up. One of the reasons I’m so into wow.
because i am not actually a nine foot tall bipedal cow druid and don’t want to pretend I am. sounds awkward.

Dyslexic and type too slow so I feel like i’d ruin some folks times
No one takes ‘Firelord Hellroid’ as a serious RPer. I’m like the ‘Charlie in the box’ of WoW role play. So yeah, no. Can’t, won’t, don’t. You’re welcome RP community. 
Rp is something I don’t get. Nothing against it it’s just not something that even remotely interests me.
