Would you play WoW in VR?
Because WoW in VR is an entirely different game.
Just go play Skyrim or something.
Also, I still don’t think we’re to the point where VR is more than a gimmick yet. Like, we’re getting closer, but it ain’t there yet. Don’t know if it’ll ever quite cross that line or not.
I have a headset. It’s fun to mess with now and again. But that’s all. More often than not it’s more effort than it’s worth to clear a play area and get things going IMO.
I’d rather see a proper 1st person view first.
To be faier skyurim wasn’t og vr either.
Sure, but it was first person already, so the transition was a pretty simple “hit button to swing sword” to “swing sword to swing sword”.
Tab Target MMOs have to become Action Combat MMOs in VR. Assuming you’re not just slapping it in VR and ignoring the point of VR.
I’d only give it a try if if it was just for the sake of seeing WoW in 3D from the normal camera position, so I’d still be sitting at my desk using the keyboard and mouse to play. Actual VR controllers/first person view is not something WoW is designed for.
I think it should be introduced server by server starting with moon guard.
Finally someone brave enough to stand up and make a joke about moonguard
WoW with VorpX works, it’s a VR mod that makes direct 3d game render in VR.
It works with many many games, but it is not native VR, so your character doesn’t turn their heads.
Nah, I can’t really play WoW in first-person.
I’ve gotta be able to see around my character at all times.
I feel like it’d make me motion-sick as well, at least with dragon-riding lol. (Because I’d be sitting in a chair, not moving, and my brain would be seeing the sky move around me rapidly, would make my head spin.)
The best VR I ever experienced was some ride at an amusement park, where you strapped into one of those things that would rock you around, so it felt way more realistic. And there were fans that simulated wind, and you got sprayed with water when stuff splashed at you on screen.
Imagine Gold Shire MoonGuard in VR ?
Not to be negative, but with the not that great performance of WoW, with it’s not as good FPS implementation (Or not built around it) and the fact the game is fast paced, i think the game is better played as it is imo.
I don’t feel like making a sick all over the floor, but i digress, that’s just me.
I already made that joke… I’ll kill you!!!
… tomorrow. Tired
VR is like the 3D TV fad. Some technologies just never catch on. VR is one such technology.
I think it will eventually… youre right I would definitely not adopt it now.
Technology has kind of been slowing down in terms of the last twenty year technology leap… I don’t believe it will happen in our lifetime but eventually
I honestly don’t see VR as going mainstream anytime soon, hell, 3D TV’s failed because people can’t even be bothered putting a crappy pair of glasses on to watch a movie. I can’t see the masses ever getting into the idea of paying a lot of extra cash so they can wear a cumbersome helmet with a tether that may or may not induce motion sickness.
I mean… I get it. You lose them. Kids break them. It was expensive.
I’ll stick to the blue and red specs I got from popsicles thank you
V r… Also expensive. Not catching on in the gaming community. Most of them that aren’t reworked from regular games were glorified tech demos.
Thank god I guessed correctly in 4k earlyish adoption. Even that isn’t catching on fast
This game isn’t made for that in anyway.
But would you play it
