Why doesn't Venari call us Mawwalker? And is Tazavesh Moving?

Is tazavesh the new dalaran? And why doesn’t Venari call me the mawwalker?

Because not all TWW players have played Shadowlands, and Blizzard didn’t want to record two different versions of every line of dialog for Ve’nari.

Oh god, is that true?

It’s weird that the guy that greets you in Tazavesh mentions the Mawwalker returning, though.

Eh, as nice as Taz is, I prefer new cities from scratch.

We’re likely getting a revamped Silvermoon next anyways, it’s all but confirmed.

Dalaran was cool but I was ready to move on by the end of Legion.

Or, honestly? They need to revamp Ironforge, Thunder Bluff, and all those “forgotten” cities.

100% agree.

Blizzard loves to cut corners, not recording two sets of lines for Ve’nari could be one of those moments

We can accuse Blizzard of cutting corners, but the true answer is probably the simplest one: we’re not in the Shadowlands and the Maw is irrelevant to the current content.

And yes, Tazavesh is moving. It was always a moving city; the Brokers learned how to traverse the In-Between and stationed their city there. We know now that it started on K’aresh, then was moved to the In-Between, and is now back on K’aresh.

I have no problem with Tazavesh being reused (or anything being reused; I think it’s ridiculous that we rarely revisit places). I think most people (who care to speculate) agree that Tazavesh was likely originally planned to be our capital city in Shadowlands before it got scrapped and repurposed.

???

It does feel weird after so long of her saying Mawwalker

Tbf it would be canon for many and it fits the storyline that the player has been through the maw and experienced the things of SL.

In some of the artwork for Midnight, you can see part of Silvermoon city in the background.

And they are believed to be in-game assets used in that artwork.

What is wrong my champion?

it would’ve been cool if she remembered us by that name.

I’m not going to say anything about the thought of Ven’ari calling me her champion

For personal reasons

Don’t forget the emphasis on “MY”

My champion.

Correct, I will not be addressing hearing Aysha’s voice calling me that

Nor will I comment if blizzard ever hired someone like Shohreh Aghdashloo to say something similar

No commentary at all :weary:

What happens in the Maw, stays in the Maw.

But for real, it bothered me. It’s not hard to add extra dialogue options if a player has completed certain quests.

It’s only weird because it’s said as though the Maw Walker isn’t standing right in front of them.

I’m really bothered when characters we’ve met and interacted with before treat us as though we’re meeting for the first time. Even Xal’atath’s doing it when she was my artifact weapon in Legion.

That would have been cool.
