Why doesn't Torghast have more fun and creative anima powers?

Torghast should have fun and creative powers and not just CD reductions or percentage stat buffs. We can’t take our powers outside of Torghast, so why not let us really get nuts with fun powers that would add replay value to Torghast? Maybe a power that grants other classes a chance to summon a mirror image or use other class powers? Also a ton of the powers are useless on the final boss, I can’t use any mawrat powers there or any of the ones that grant buffs when I kill something.

Torghast honestly feels half hearted; like the devs were scared of breaking the rules and experimenting. Torghast should have been a fun thing to do with friends, but honestly feels like a chore.

The current Anima Powers are fine imo, and I think the new changes make for a good direction that it’s headed in. The system is working as intended, I don’t really see a need to change it.

To be fair about this aspect, it’s clearly their first attempt at doing anything like Torghast.

What will be big now is how they adjust/tweak it in response to player feedback.

That’s what I thought was going to be in Torghast but a lot of the abilities feel boring or useless.

You’re a hunter that’s why lol.

Druids have one where entangling roots does damage if you build root powers you can take hard mobs down without even entering combat

we have one where we get ALL affinity bonuses and the bonuses are doubled so we basically can be 3 specs at once. Evenmore so if you get the power where you permanently get a CD that empowers your affinity

On my druid I LOVE torghast its so fun

on my hunter it gives me a headache

You’re replying to the current frontrunner for ‘Worst Forum Poster 2020’. He’s selecting from a pre-formatted list of replies he prepared earlier for the benefit of Torghast threads like this one.

Edit: Apologies, I thought you were quoting the poster above you. My comment was directed at him.

Sounds pretty enticing. I have a druid in my alt queue. Granted, by the time I get her to 60 and into Torghast, it will be “adjusted”.

it can be fun as a drood, but i’ve done runs without ever getting damage for roots, the same for the affinity power
roots is pretty bad in that it doesn’t help against the hardest content in the layer, it just helps you clear to it faster…

There is a power that has a chance to turn people into a chair / furniture YOU FOOL

(Seriously though try unlocking all the torghast stuff from the maw vendor. There are more options)

I took that power once when it was offered on the 3rd floor but didn’t see it proc at all for the next 2. I was so gutted. :frowning:

Ion’s in charge. They wont listen to feedback, they’ll just do whatever they want despite any feedback.

I did a run with a Mage where he oneshot the layer 3 boss.

I did a run with a Warlock where her Felguard turned on godmode, and she got a power to turn into a huge elf and bully bosses by running into them.

There’s a lot of fun powers for a lot of classes.

I get extended uptime on my ox.

I think some classes/specs got more attention/love than others.

If you play on a Kyrian Prot Pally, you’ll feel like Torghast was designed just for you.

If you play a Rogue you’ll know without a doubt that it’s not quite as smooth and mechanically much rougher.

I hope this can be addressed, I think there is scaling bug on some bosses anyway, so maybe they’ll catch it, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
