The whole point of the Alliance and Horde factions was to support PVP. But these days it seems more trouble than it’s worth.

Not only was one of the biggest players in taking back the undermine a part of something affiliated with Stormwind, they didn’t even give him a lazy story. It was a GREAT story.
I’ve been wanting an alliance goblin-esque races for ages. Horde has pretty much all the alliance models now (or at least the ones that anyone cares about). Alliance managed to get belves but that’s about it. Alliance has no equivalent goblin rigging race.

And you say that while basically dismissing blood elves in the alliance. Which is literally the most cared about model.
I can’t think of a single alliance model on the horde that people care about. It’s the alliance that constantly cares about horde models.

Is there a lore reason that gobs can’t be Alliance? No. Sure Renzik did good enough work that the Alliance wouldn’t blink an eye, including the fact they are neutral save for Bilgewater, and they had zero choice in the matter if they wanted to survive.
Gazlowe had history with Thrall, so it made sense.
Honestly if they have a reason, it’s purely because gnomes exist. And I think gnomes are alright!
As long as they acknowledge our tech is better. Their silly pew pew sticks ain’t got nothin’ on some sweet, loud gunpowder.

Why would they want to be ruled by the Alliance High King when they can rule themselves.
It’s because we wouldn’t stop getting them wet and feeding them after midnight.
Well, yeah, that’s why they’re all neutral. 
Some have their own reasons, like Renzik.
Like I said, the Bilgewater had no real choice in the matter. If they had the choice they would remain neutral, but death by (two) volcanos, drowning or getting torn apart by aggressive wildlife has a way of motivating one to make sacrifices.
To be frank gobs could probably take over both Alliance and Horde, and probably should, but gobs are so independent that they have a habit of fighting themselves.

I believe haronir will be cross faction and that will be the neutral “troll” race granted to both factions.
I don’t think they look enough like trolls unfortunately.
But that seems to be the plan. Much as there is conceivable reasons for an alliance cartel of goblins I doubt blizz would bother going there.
Though it is certainly interesting that they went to that much trouble for the lone alliance goblin.

idk but can we stop getting crap for races and actual new races? like what about those ghost things in mana tombs? etherals i think or those brokers from shadowlands? so tired of just model swaps and i never once seen anyone ask for rock dwarves lmao.

After Legion, bfa, Shadowlands and Dragonflight which was mostly alliance focus we FINALLY give a patch of focus to a Horde race and that makes you upset? Sit down. Goblins are a core Horde race and a bit of stuff now is not going to hurt anyone. I swear alliance players are so entitled its unreal.
