Why doesnt autoloot work most of the time anymore?

I thought it was just me. Autoloot sometimes stops also.

Forever??

This has only been happening to me since this expac. In 20+ years, I’ve never had a problem with auto-loot.

Now, I’m having to re-click AT LEAST once a day.

And again with the ā€œforeverā€ claim, I’ve never EVER heard of anyone else complaining about this problem… until this expac.

Something broke. And really… how hard could it be to fix this??

Did you click to loot? THEN LOOT.

Seriously, wtf??

Is a Hunter a pet?

No, it’s a class.

Why did you bother even?

If there’s more than two items without fail looting will hang on the last item and I’ll have to close the loot window and reloot again which adds up to so much wasted time if you’re mindlessly farming

Usually only happens to me with herbs for some reason, and only in certain zones/expansions.

I noticed it happens more often if i’m not close enough to the corpse I am looting, as in standing on top of it…

But then why does the loot window still open?

It’s especially fun when it happens on an EZ-Mine load

ESPECIALLY after you’ve overloaded it and have like 1 second to get what you can and get out.

Legion and BFA mines and ores never autoloot the first time you mine or herb a specific mine or herb per session.

I guess Blizz figured they need to add another form of gate keeping.

Blizz : ok here is what we will do . Every 5th loot players will have to manually click on items .

It has been reported a lot in bug reports, you know where problems go to die. I know I have reported it. Some days is ok other days it won’t work at all. Real quality feature.

That’s pretty much exactly why I made this thread, figured it had a pretty good chance of blowing up

It’s great when this happens in the middle of a completely dead area where not a single soul is around. That rules out the lag excuse. This should’ve been fixed 10 months ago.

It aint just you OP, and I thought I was bugged or holding Shift somehow.

It seems to happen most often if I try to loot immediately after combat, and I never had this behavior before in Dragonflight.

The faster loot addon completely fixed it for me and it hasn’t happened for 2 weeks now. Pretty sure it has something to do with interface lag in the loot window

Thats funny. I increased mine through Leatrix Plus last night, and I am fairly sure I didnt see it happen either.

Is probably the right answer. I just didnt think about it till you mentioned it.

happens a LOT.

you can feel the game struggling with how to give you your loot.

I usually have it happen when I am farming wolves. I don’t even do it in a group. just little old me. but the game seems to have a problem when I grab 5-6 packs.

This bug is super annoying. Us auto loot players don’t want to click the damn loot box. That’s the whole point of the option!

I thought the loot-a-rang was WoD only.

This also reminds me about Fetch.
