Genn and the other nobles are pressuring him to get married already too. But Anduin wants to marry for love, not an arranged marriage for politics. That’s why he’s been putting it off so far.

So what you’re saying is Anduin is fine with the riches and the benefits of being King but doesn’t want to partake in any of the less pleasurable parts of being king.
Then he really needs to reevaluate his priorities as King of Stormwind.
I don’t think he should be High King personally but he’d still be Stormwind’s King and part of the Alliance and thus part of the war.
He needs to hurry up and marry Vanessa.

I mean it’s Anduin’s excuse. Genn gave him a list of hot girls to marry including his own daughter and Anduin said no to all of them because of love.
When the story gets fleshed out more, it’ll be Taelia.
