Why does wow have a deadzone on the window bar?

I don’t know why, but wow has a deadzone where the window bar is and I can’t seem to move onto it without using the windows key. What is causing this?

I have not noticed a single dead zone on the windows bar. Where is it?

Sorry I should specify it is an issue specific to myself. So the entire window bar is a mouse deadzone.

Sounds like a Windows setting to lock the window itself in place, not aware of any Blizz setting that does this.

Try typing /fstack it will show you if there is an addon or something taking over that part of the screen. Just retype the command to shut it off. Hope this helps

It didn’t, but I appreciate the help. It’s only the window bar that is blocked. It only seems in relation when wow is open too.

Do you mean the Windows taskbar?

No, the windows application window bar, with minimize, enlarge, and exit on it.

You keep using the phrase “window bar” and I’m trying to understand specifically what you mean. The bar along the top of an open window is called the title bar.

If I run WoW in a window that is smaller than my full screen, I can move it all over the place by clicking anywhere on the title bar and dragging it to a new location. If I maximize the window with WoW in it, I cannot drag it anywhere without clicking the maximize toggle button first. This is normal Windows OS behavior.

So the title bar as you call it does not allow my cursor to move over top of it. It’s some form of deadzone around it.

Okay, just sounds like you have another app controlling the windows you have open in the background. This is not a known or reported issue with the WoW client.

Idk. It only happens when wow is open. Maybe its an unknown issue.
