It used to be able to spread and do pretty good damage. Now what does it do? Basically nothing. Kinda sad.
In DF it has more potential but only indirectly. It will increase damage enemies take thru Morbidity if that talent stays on the spec tree. It also has a chance along with Blight to increase damage enemies take via Brittle. And we can talent into it giving runic power via procs like frost has now.
Not actual synergy with the kit beyond runic power but at least it actually will do something
Even when mastery stacked it hits like a wet noodle, oh how the mighty have fallen. Really hoping for some disease amps in the next unholy build.
Tried to find what you were talking about and couldn’t. Afaik the only (directly) disease related things on the DF tree are outbreak, brittle, ebon fever, unholy blight, and morbidity.
do believe hes talking about runic attenuation- auto attacks have a chance to generate 5 rp. but i dont know if Vp ticks count as auto attacks
Yeah but I want stuff to put a lot of diseases on a target and buff them and stuff. I want to be freaking Noth the Plaguebringer, not a fourth hunter spec.
Preach. I get some people like pets, so I’d vote for that to remain an option, but I’d love another option for those of us who do not, where we could exchange the benefit of a pet for a more rot based play style like the older days.
With new talent trees, I bet it could technically be feasible to let people carve out their preferred method
All that matters is output. If the pet build is meta, all dks play pet build, if the other build is meta, everyone plays the other build. There is no choice, there is no carving out a path. It’s all an illusion. You go what is best and that is that. It’s how it’s always been.
They need to up the damage of VP for sure as well as give it some kind of interaction with our kit. The exploding on death is not even worth mentioning. Frost fever is 170% AP vs 112% AP over 27 sec.
I’m not sure why they removed the chance to erupt and deal damage again from it, I assume because of the wierd keeping you in combat situation that would arise from it.
Maybe if it had a chance to cause a Festering Wound on a target.
It’s not very Virulent right now.
