I recently returned to the game and was playing through BfA and noticed that the War Campaign had completely stopped for me, despite being level 50. With some research, it looks like the “Uniting Kul Tiras/Zandalar” piece of the war campaign requires level 60.
Which makes no sense to me.
Raids, Heroic dungoens, Mechagon and Nazjatar are all accessible at level 50.
But this core piece of the expansion, required for continuing the story and unlocking the allied races, is the only thing that seems gated.
Add in that you can’t pause your experience at level 60, now if I choose to do it, I either have to jump back and do it when its trivial (which I find rather dull) or let it cut into Dragonflight. Either way, I’m not looking forward to it.
From what I found, it sounds like the min level for these was advanced when Dragonflight came out and BfA was made the ‘core’ leveling experience.
It seems odd to me that Blizzard would gate a big piece of that expansion to ‘max’ level. Especially since I’d expect Blizzard would want people immediately transitioning over to the latest content.
Does anyone have any insight to add on why it is this way?
