Why does TWW Early Access not start until 6pm Thursday?

Couldn’t Blizzard have gotten most of their game updates done sooner?

Launch time for both Early Access and full launch is 3 PM Pacific on the respective dates, which has been the launch time for the last few expansions. Blizzard always goes by local Irvine time when doing global stuff.

I am fine with the launch time. Thursday is my “go into the office” one day a week, so I won’t miss the start time.

that and it probably won’t be playable.

It will be Friday 0:00 CEST (UTC+2) in EU, as TWW starts globally at the same time.

Well…

They are in Irvine California.

It would make perfect sense that they do everything based off of the time zone they are in which is PDT.

They always wait for me is why.

Because for some reason, they seem to have attuned Early Access for Midnight in Paris.

I’d understand like GMT, but Paris is like GMT+2.

They have to pick a time… time isn’t going to work for everyone.

pretty sure they like to make the game to be heavily populated for expansion launches - so when most people are off work already - unfortunately that makes our experience worse in many cases.

Is perfect for anyone who works for a living

The fine print:

†Beta Access and Early Access dates subject to change. Early Access duration is 3 days. Limited time only. Play time subject to possible outages and time zone differences. Certain endgame features, including Mythic dungeons and weekly quests, not available during Early Access. Click for more details.

Here’s what’s funny, The page I found had nothing to click on for more details, not the sentence, not the word “click”, nothing. Now I’m wondering if there are more details…

People really will complain about anything.

Because I don’t get off work until 4pm est and they wanted me to have time with family and to eat dinner before they launched it.

My Uncle knows a guy that once walked passed someone on a crowded street… who has a cousin that knew a woman… that flew in an airplane over a city that a blizzard employee lives in so I get special treatment for things like this.

European servers use CET/CEST as server time (which is Paris/Berlin/Amsterdam time), because most European servers are located in central Europe.

Blizzard in Europe is also headquartered in Paris, or at least that is where they first opened European offices a few months before WoW launched in Europe.

Cause the game is launching all around the world …they try to do it at a time best for most now…

There will ALWAYS be somebody to complain about something.

You are against EA and want it to fail… while you’re wearing a Cash Shop onesie. No one can take you seriously.
