I wonder what heāll say when we ultimately triumph over him. Already weāve rescued everyone and his kitchen cat and still the Jailer slumbers. Oh well.
Iām hoping that heās planning an expert āgotchaā move where her lures all the covenants to the maw and has them raid his tower and everything while he goes up after the arbiter. Like, heās been able to get up at her this whole time but heās been tempting us to go after him the full expansion so he can try to trap us down in the maw when he nopes right out of there.
Weād obviously still escape and beat him, but itād at least make him seem less incompetent.
Iām sure he will and we will too. Since weāre champions and Maw walkers and all that. And by the time he tries that, we would have demolished much of his base and rescued most of the souls and their cats souls as well. 
And all because he thought we were all so insignificant that he actually forgot we existed when he woke up from his sleep.

Its jsut that he is not a really good manager.
By lore time line we kill 6 floor bosses minimal. He never holds meetings, ask for attendance records and such. So he never knows we kill 1 boss each to get baine. jaime, thrall and 3 floor 6ās for anduin.
He also doesnāt have control of his personnel section. Dear personnel directorā¦please notify me when you have to hire at least 100 guards to replace 100 dead ones.
All he has to doā¦a simple email. Because as of right now the personnel section is not reporting at least 600 deaths and their replacements. Since we are killing at least 100 per run to 6th floor unless a player is truly speed running this lol. I am going bare minimum casual here. I rarely touch the place.
Some of you all out thereā¦personnel is burying 1000ās of on the job related injuries and fatalities reports. OSHA ever gets to maw man the fines will be flying in hard.

Maybe he hasnāt forgotten us , maybe he is letting his determination buff stack up .
Because itās not actually the Jailer thatās observing us. Itās the Eye of the Jailer (which is not his literal eye), which focuses on everything happening in the Maw.
Thereās only so many things a single creature can focus on at any one time, and the Eye doesnāt ārememberā it just acts.
I think it may be a matter of branding/marketing.
Yeah, sure, everyone says itās āthe Jailerā whoās directly responsible for the Maw shenanigans, but really, we donāt have any solid proof of this. The leaders of the covenant arenāt overgods or anything, and even if the Jailer is multiple times their strength, that still wouldnāt put him close to any sort of āomnipotenceā factor.

Weāve already been given hints about the nature of the Eye of the Jailer insofar as itās not reallyā¦ his eye. If true, that means that it isnāt internal to his power, at least in origins.
For all the hype, like with his use of the Runecarver, the Eye shows that Jailer is not all powerful, and does rely on external forces to achieve his ends. In short, there are clear and defined limitations to all of this - the fact that the Jailerās Eye canāt focus on one soul for too long just seems to be one of them.
His day planner is still using 640k memory as his buddy Bill said itās all he needs. So when we arrive and his puts it into his tablet it doesnāt have enough space to save it.
